errrr lol? Welcome Astushi....

so what you were trying to say is that a real racer will by a skyline to keep and use, not with the mindset to sell and make money (fairly difficult with any car). Fair call.

No he's saying he's a poser and you shouldnt listen to him.. He isnt from japan or anything.. He has a NA S13 which he can't drive for shit.. He is infact La Bomba and you prob won't have him posting on here anymore..

99% of cars depreciate.. Buy the car you want and not worry about resale value.. Skylines don't sell fast though..

i tired selling mine a few times, the last time for 4 months gave up had heaps of time wasters, tyer kickers, it seams people now want everything for nothing, you even see it in the forums now, someone wants to buy a skyline get offered a few clean examples, then goes buy's a cheaper one, then a few weeks later posts about how he has fix this and that, or this has broken or should this should like this, i bought my 33 pretty cheap 3 years and boy did it have some issues, bottom line is like its been said a thounds times before, if you want a skyline wait till the right one come up for sale and spend the money its worth, cause in the end would you rather be driving or thinking i have to fix this this and this, if i could have my chance i would have waited and saved for the right one after someone else did all the hard work.

Like alot mentioned before, resale sucks with all cars especially selling new cars. Imports are evern more harder to sell.

That's why, with that in mind, I am not planning on selling my V35 coupe for foreseeable future. Also, that's why I bought a non-import Dualis instead of another import when I was looking for a daily car so it won't be as hard as an import to sell if I have to sell one of them one day. :P

I bought a 32 GTR on Tuesday for 11.5k, bargain at 83kkm and stock besides the pods mines ecu and exhaust, but he wanted it gone. Justcars think it is way below market price of 17k, so going to assesor on monday to increase the agreed from 11.5 to 17 or so :D

Anyway, moral of the story, it is always difficult to compare one car with another, hence the huge range in price. And it does depend a lot on the seller and buyer what it eventually goes for.

But, there is definitely a lot more skylines around than say 5 years ago, so the price drop is definitely going to be more.

Got logbooks then? -_-

Yeah, this is the space in which I wanted to get the conversation happening. I can totally understand why they are harder to sell, due to the myriad of reasons stated so far. But hey, that goes with the territory I guess...

Just wondering, what should a buyer ask for in terms of documentation eg. log books, import documentation and the like? Is there anything that can substantiate mileage apart from visual wear and tear and other obvious give aways?

So the dash cluster says 83,000km and you believed it? How cute.

I wish you the best of luck, but you may have an expensive few years ahead of you.
