Hey guys, just wondering if I can put Motul FF LSD Type 2 in both my gearbox and diff? I bought them few weeks ago at autobarn, one of their staff recommended to me. But people from work says dont put lsd oil in the gearbox cuz its thick. What do you guys reckon? Thanks in advance!

I was running Redline Shockproof Heavy in the rear diff in my R33 GTR Vspec and it was causing the diff to bejust too tight so I replaced it with Motul LSD Type 2 and it is now working perfectly.

I also have purchased some more Motul LSD Type 2 to run in the gearbox in the same car at the next oil change.

This oil was designed for front wheel drive cars that have the diff and gearbox in the same housing so is perfect for gearboxes and diffs.

Thanks Charles!

I'll use it for my diff then. As my car doesn't have a diff in the gearbox, should I just use regular gear oil instead of Motul LSD Type2?

This stuff is not thick by any means and it is Motul's product that is made to compete with the Redline Shockproof range of oils.

I will be using it my GTR's gearbox following its great performance in the diff but the final decision is yours to make.
