Got to say, that tail wing looks massive!!!!

Also, from the design, it looks like ur using 2 pipe exhaust instead of the normal 4 ones. Any reason y?

Love the images of both race R35 builds in QLD seemingly taking place in sheds, how Australian :)

Maybe the Gov't can use it as an example of what can be built in a shed :P (http://www.mensshed.org)

Hi Eric,

yes the wing is massive but it is CFD tested by Scott Beeton. The plates (we will have spares) will be trimmed and tuned at the track test days. the front canards really arent a true representation of what they will look like as they are quite intricate and indeed also quite large.

the front carbon bumper is down in sydney with the carbon fabricators getting the pieces made and a fair amount of work will be involved in getting the front wings to secure to the car given the levels of downforce applied to them and the larger front splitter.

the exhaust will acually only be a single exit. it is for weight savings and reduced resistance/increased flow

lol, some of mankind's best work has taken place in sheds. though Luke's fabrication shed (one of the three sheds in the mercury complex) now has a lot of very cool toys at his disposal for these kind of jobs

Very tight clearances for intercooler piping. We actually had to modify the alpha 10 turbo kit to accomodate the RHD car.

ah looks good. Is the carbon fibre dash lighter then the factory one? I haven't been on the inside of a 35 so i have no idea what all the dash is made of. Does look pretty damn cool though.

Considering the extent of the build, the time and expense making a custom carbon dash would be one hell of a waste if it wasn't lighter!

    • Ducan , yeah sure mate , the unit is https://www.carlinkit.com/ambient TBox Ambient -  plugs straight into the USB C and it runs as a android  unit and you can link your phone to it via Bluetooth , but it only allows for one phone at a time. you can download and apk files you want and load it on there , I downloaded a basic maps apk (OsmAnd+ — Maps & GPS Offline) so I can run navigation without data usage , its not as good at google or wazes but it works fine for what I need. I can put up screen shots if you like. Cheers Pac
    • Hey Team , just got the Fujitsubo unit installed , not a big db difference but it does sound better across the rpm range , I have the front pipe on order I'll post a video with sounds when that has also been installed.
    • The gearbox in my R32 GTS4 (now with RB25DET) has just over 300k on it . Life includes some track time. Has had one change of oil in its lifetime. I rev match on down changes. I don't have any problems with synchros or gear crunching.
    • Currently advertised with some A4 flyers up at work for $30k ono Will detail it next week, and get some good picks for carsales, then put the cover back on and put it back on the tender until someone comes to look at it No real hurry to sell, in saying this I would like it gone with in 6 months as I am retiring in May 25 and lose the ability to store the car undercover in a secured site, plus as we are moving out of Sydney the potential buyers market will be more limited https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/485907-2002-vx-ss-commodore-30000-ono/
