might be stupid question but how do you open the boot with the wing on? Or do you cut slots in the boot?

Cheers

i think all the cutting of the boot has been done to the wing stays appear thru like that..

wing off to open it i'd imagine.. (not that there is much point in opening it anyway).. unless struts have adjustment on top could get annoying setting them up..

I dont think boot access is a real problem with that one. This is the correct way to mount a rear wing, and the same way its done on our factory Porsche built GT Series car. You could stand on it, which is how it has to be :)

Mark, did you receive your WR35OP Extended Oil Pan yet?

yep good idea. we have spare ebay steerign wheels for both cars when we are not at the track. the good suede ones get damaged too easily, especially by oil.

I like you committment to this car....lots of good work going into it and nothing seems to be off limits....looking forward to catching up at Superlap

I have an identical 330mm Sparco wheel in normal leather I could let go for a reasonable price if you're interested?

I've been using a deep dish wheel on the street and discovered at the last track day when I bolted the Sparco on that I've grown too accustomed to the driving position of the deep dished wheel... I didn't feel at home with the greater reach for the flat wheel anymore.

    • Ducan , yeah sure mate , the unit is https://www.carlinkit.com/ambient TBox Ambient -  plugs straight into the USB C and it runs as a android  unit and you can link your phone to it via Bluetooth , but it only allows for one phone at a time. you can download and apk files you want and load it on there , I downloaded a basic maps apk (OsmAnd+ — Maps & GPS Offline) so I can run navigation without data usage , its not as good at google or wazes but it works fine for what I need. I can put up screen shots if you like. Cheers Pac
    • Hey Team , just got the Fujitsubo unit installed , not a big db difference but it does sound better across the rpm range , I have the front pipe on order I'll post a video with sounds when that has also been installed.
    • The gearbox in my R32 GTS4 (now with RB25DET) has just over 300k on it . Life includes some track time. Has had one change of oil in its lifetime. I rev match on down changes. I don't have any problems with synchros or gear crunching.
    • Currently advertised with some A4 flyers up at work for $30k ono Will detail it next week, and get some good picks for carsales, then put the cover back on and put it back on the tender until someone comes to look at it No real hurry to sell, in saying this I would like it gone with in 6 months as I am retiring in May 25 and lose the ability to store the car undercover in a secured site, plus as we are moving out of Sydney the potential buyers market will be more limited https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/485907-2002-vx-ss-commodore-30000-ono/
