Hey guys,

ive have a Apexi Afc neo lying around the house that used to be used in my soarer, question i have is it worthwhile installing into the GTR? is it even possible as the rb26 runs 2 afms?

my car is relatively stock (turbo back exhaust) and don't plan on major mods, so i don't justify shaking out a $1k for a PFC.

not looking for major power gains just a bit more response/torque maybe some economy on the way.

any input would be great?

Waste of tiime imo...

To me the gtr ecu is lean as is until very high up in the rev range so economy is probably as good as it gets with no direct control over timing, and timing is where its at if you want more response/torque..

Remember the afc affects fueling by altering the air flow signal and it changes timing indirectly....most times opposite of where you would want it to be so its a balancing act and gains if any would be minimal

Its works ok for the 25det guys with minor mods trying to get rid of r&r but on the 26 its basically worthless

With that said i have a safc2 on my 26 along side a pfc but its sole purpose is to act as a 2nd knock dectecting device...a feature the neo doesnt have

So unless if you just want a pretty colourful screen on your dash ditch it and get a pfc

sif, nistune supplied fitted and tuned for under 1k, power fc 1k to buy then tuning :)

You'd need to get 32 GTR ECU on top of that.

Unless there's Nistune board for 33 GTR available?

If any of your mates have a wideband, hook it up to your rear exhaust take it for a ride, if the A/F are decent don't bother with anything. Just enjoy the car the way it is.
