Hey Guys,

Im looking at getting a Haltech P2000 Ecu with IQ3 Street dash.

i have found a package on ebay for $2965 US which is abit cheaper due to aus $$$.

i just want to make sure i get the right ecu/wiring lead kit i need,

My car is a silvia and i have a complete GTR R32 Engine wiring loom, but im unsure what year model this wiring loom is out of, do all the R32 GTRs have the same wiring loom/ecu or are they different.

here a link to what im looking at http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HALTECH-P2000-ECU-kit-IQ3-DASH-Wideband-street-kit-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem1c154ba9a1QQitemZ120616364449QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

thanks guys

Also the car is going to be using E85.

i have asked the seller from ebay these questions and this was his reply to me was.

Daniel,

The P2000 can control your engine also, but it will either have to be wired up to the engine or use one of our patch loom kits , here are your options:

1.P2000 flying lead kit , this kit has to be wired up into your engine (price with dash $2965 ) item # 120616364449

2.P2000 R32 patch loom kit, this kit plugs into your current factory harness(price with dash $2965)item #120615981060,(advertised for 300zx however it is the same kit)

3.Pro Platinum R32 Plug and Play ECU , this ECU plugs straight into your factory harness also (price with dash $2717) item # 110591763827

Regarding the MAP sensor , I'll suggest the Haltech 3 BAR map that can be added to your order , item # 110659176040

If your current engine harness is in good condition , then I'll suggest going with option #3 , the PRO Platinum is just as powerful as the P2000 , the reason why is slightly cheaper is because it does not require a wiring loom since it plugs direct to the factory wiring harness .

The plug in pro will work regardless of the wiring harness. R32/R33 gtr gtst gts (have to swap two pins on gts). It has basically the same features as the P2000.

PM me sent too..

Cheers

Hey Johno,

what are the main difference between the p2000 & the plug in pro? with the price difference i might aswell just get the better ecu??

let me know on that group buy thingo too.

the pro ecus have more options to suit the engine they are intended for. the sport 2000 can be configured on anything. but without knock control or afm inputs

but the pro is limited to that engine but accepts factory afm as a tuning input if needed and knock sensors to alert you of knock via engine light and can be configured to retard timing.

i would recomend it. (just did a haltech seminar on the weekend) download the ecu manager software from haltech and you can see the differances by loading the base maps for both the pro and sport ecu,s once loaded f4 shows all the options availabe to use
