Didnt wana short anything or create a fire lol, so do u think the black/yellow wires are the ground wires - theres three of them goin to one. I tried to call you a few times today. If you comin down to Syd tomorrow to do Sir RBs rewire, I can come see you, if the roads are dry and you are free, then I would like to get it road tuned as well or otherwise Easter??

Oh and my no. is 0416424446, I think it is set to private

cheers

I havent planned with Michael yet. I still havent hadthe balls to ask my fiance yet lol.

U should both drive to my place and ill do it all :) u can cruise up here together.

Ok cut the yellow/black wire. Then disconnect pin 86 from the relay end. Cut the terminal off this wire. Connect this earth wire to the yellow/black wire coming from the pump.

Then the other yellow/black wire that joins to 3 or what ever u said it does needs a terminal on it and connect to pin 86.

Try this

thanks man, going to try this now, did u forget to mention that I need to cut the green/white wire goin to pump and connect the pump end to pin 87 and the ecu end to pin 85? Will do that I think. Please text me ur address

cheers

All went well. Fixed up the wiring to the fuel pump. Road tuned the AFRs.

Needs a turbo to manifold gasket a decent dump pipe an a highflow cat then we will see how it goes on the dyno.

R34 gtt fuel pump wiring is

Green white from pump to chassis earth.

Green white from ecu to pin 86 earth

Black yellow from ecu to 85 positive trigger

Black yellow from fuel pump to pin 87.

Pin 30 battery 12volt supply

Thank u Jez, the tune went great, its running smooth as ever, as you mentioned, need a 3" hiflow cat, turbo-manifold gasket, (dump pipe maybe later) and a re-tune on the dyno for power figures, ign timing maps, more boost, knocking and tuning 4th and 5th gear tuning. And I gotta fix that fuel tank seal as well. So many things to do, need to get it out of my head asap.

I recommend Jez AA++. If any of you thinking of getting a tune(Nistune, Power FC, Haltech) or any electrical / mechanical work, he is one top bloke, DVS Tuning located at Central Coast. Check him out, he was awesome to deal with, +1.

Thanks again mate, you did a great job.

  • 8 years later...

Mine R34 gtt is having the same issue as rondofg all the wirings fkn hacked to bit I followed your wiring above but I'm having a issue as I'm. Trying to wire up a solid state relay instead as I'm running the walbro hellcat 525 and it was melting 40amp relays

    • The 32 still sits untouched with the broken gearbox. So a little off topic but not worth having a whole new thread. The daily starlet has gotten back on the road after 9 months. Suspected blown HeadGasket at a track day resulted in a bit of scope creep rebuild. The motor got a full tear down, pressure testing, machined for MLS HG, ARP head bolts, new bearings, all new seals etc also noticed some fatigue on the stock exhaust manifold so obviously the answer was a steam pipe manifold and highflow turbo. The exhaust was also looking tired with some rust holes. So I got a slightly over kill system made up consisting of Vibrant resonator and muffler with a highflow cat. The new highflow turbo had a larger inlet so instead of adapting the old intake got a case of the might as wells and had a nicer alloy intake made After the run in was finished i bought a (probably considered retro/vintage) EBC becasue "might as well"
    • Pretty stout result. How much boost? Anything left in it?
    • Just dropped the car off at MX5 Mania to install the intake plenum and give it a little retune  My impatience hates the waiting game
    • SAMSONAS      Just saying      U know and we know U wanna     Just a matter of time....
    • This is kind of what I expected given the use case. I took my liners out for track days too.... It makes me consider just getting a diffuser and not bothering with the arch liners themselves. For the most part I would like to avoid water/mud/jank splashing up from under the car onto the bottom of the engine, lines, wiring, etc etc. (but brake ducts are cool too). Especially given this post on SAU here: Where it's implied you have to cut them because the actual tub is different? Which is pretty damn worrying because that is where the liners rub in a GTR with wider wheels... I definitely won't want to pay $2000 for plastic then cut them up. It also means said wider wheels rub on the tub in a GTT? FML. That said, I have found some evidence someone ran a 295/30/18 without scrubbing these liners. (and by extension.. the tub).
