Sunroof Seal Wtf!

so i get home today and this has happened to the missus car, i know it was fine this morning or i would have noticed it over the weekend.

crappy pic but if you see all the little black blotches there is chunks missing out of the seal and it is like this all the way around

what the hell could cause this to happen during the day, she tells me it was parked at her work under the tree where she usually parks it,my first thought was someone has attacked with a screwdriver but now I am thinking maybe a bird or something has done it..

Any ideas??

yeah ive got it on my 33 - whenever i park it at my mates house they land on the roof and peck at the f**king sunroof rubber / had them destroy some wiper blades and left little scratches on the roof

little f**kers have made a mess even started at the windscreen rubber.

The inside cover was left open and it has chrome trims inside ,maybe that was stirring them, just odd they never done it before.

Any ideas how to stop it & fix it?

i got an old blanket and put that over the top of the car and closed it in each door

BB gun/air rifle will stop the little f**kers,

they might be making nests, they love using random crap to mix in with the twigs I saw one take some small stray bits of chicken wire from my backyard

145$ for the part, no thanx, didnt even ask how much fitted

rang prestige sunrrofs

180$ fitted but wont sell part seperately..better but no sale

So far looking like shipping from the states again, have found it there for about 60$ and found a DIY install on the webz..

Yes, should definitely be Magpies that caused that damage. I see a few sitting on my other car sometimes and had to shoo them away.

I would get car cover if parked at home or in open garage.
