Reconditioning Gtr33 Head

Do you know if reconditioning GTR33 head will make any difference in performance wise?

Has anyone done this before and got anything interesting?

Yes if the head needs a reco, for performance you can consider valve springs, cams, and porting while the head's off. I've found, this can add up money wise.

money wise, with all above, how much will i be looking at? also how much of more power can it make with stocked motor with all above changed??

if the motor is stock and turbo and ecu is stock.. you wont make much if any at all gains.

if the head is worn, seals leaking or valves leaking then youll gain back lost power

You can easily spend 6k on a rb 26 head. The rb26 turbo upgrades above give results. To me the rb is a "total package engine", rather than just one mod.

about $500 to reco a head (ie strip, clean, measure, new guides, shim clearances correctly). more if you need valve seats or close the cam tunnels.
