cheers. ive heard nothing but good things about the sennheiser of any type.

but was a little unsure on the turtle beach gear. the HD280 is a bit more than i wanted to spend. and the p11 looks real nice :)

seems most people dont go the the surround headsets

Senheisers are awesome. They produce fantastic sound quality minus the large pricetag. As madaz said, they block out heaps of noise so you hear every enemy and each bullet shell as it hits the ground. Downside is they are pretty tight and after a while it feels as though your head will implode.

Senheisers HD550 for me. I've modified them to HD595 specs. It's a 10min job yet the price difference between 555 & 595 is like $60-$70

You need a amp'd sound card to drive them properly but by fuck they sound awesome.

I don't believe in the "5.1" headphones, load of shit i reckon.

The 595/555 certainly sound directional and with the Auzentech soundcard i have driving it all, very impressed. Great for watching movies & music which i listen to of a lot hence i grabbed these ones.

are you talking about the 280pro Elias as the 212pro are a lot better for everyday wearing

The 280s. If I knew they hurt the head after a while I would have gone another model bit after listening to the quality I decided to keep them. I love quality and am very picky when it comes to home entrainment/gaming.

used alot of plantronics over the years and they ALWAYS ended up breaking - even their 'decent' ones with external soundcards

i have 2 sets of razer megalodon at the moment - 1 spare for when the first set brakes - but for me compared to siberia's and plantronics the razer's are already well out infront.

this is for gaming only of course.

hahaha you went from plantronics to razer!?

at least plantronics specialise in headsets, razer gear full stop is generally crap and prone to breaking.

TBH the best headset I've owned was an Exsound Conch, but I can't find anyone who still sells them (only cost $20 too!)

so true man....a friend of mine has a razor keyboard too....looks cheap...aswell as having some issues. and overpriced.

i have heard of the plantronics breaking occasionally.....but for half the price of a turtle beach or Sein.....i can handle that for the few hrs of gameplay i do in a week

i've had the lyocsa keyboard for just on 3-3.5 years and cant fault it so far. apart from the rubber grips wearing on the WSAD. but then again. who needs to look at those letters anyway

altho i would rather drink toilet water than go over to their headphones.

ugh I thought razer were the tits until I went through two lycosa keyboards, two copperhead mice and currently onto my 2nd deathadder mouse. Deathadder is the comfiest most responsive mouse i've ever used but apart from that will never buy razer again.

+1 to plantronics, had a pair of 777's that lasted me many hours of gaming through uni.

if you want cheap and effective though, go creative fatality - good sound and mic for around $40

I'm using a Logitech G35 and find it awesome for gaming.

and +1 on never buying a Razer again... sent back one mouse under warranty and the 2nd mouse becomes problematic(same problem as the first) shortly after the warranty period expires... it was a Razer Lachesis. Before that I used a Logitech mouse and never had a problem. Now I'm using a Microsoft Explorer 3.0

    • Hows your intake piping? Are you still running stock? Having in the stock AFM position would mean, if the BOV was shut/venting out, it'd create the almost stalling kind of effect right // "the rich pulse behaviour" due to MAF thinking air is flowing ? But this would be better than having the bov in the stock position + MAF on/just before cross over piping right?
    • Essentially, yes. Although I wouldn't put the AFM on the crossover pipe. I'd want to put it into what amounts to the correct size tube, which is more easily done in the intercooler pipework. I bought a mount tube for card stile AFM that replaces the stock AFM - although being a cheap AliExpress knockoff, it had not flange and I had to make and weld my own. But it is the same length and diameter as the stock RB AFM, goes on my airbox, etc etc. I don't have a sick enough rig to warrant anything different, and the swap will take 5 minutes (when I finally get around to it and the injectors & the dyno tune).
    • So to summarise, the best thing to do is to move recirc to between turbo and IC, and maf on the crossover pipe. Meaning I'd need a recirc flange, drill a hole in the piping on turbo outlet area. And drill hole on crossover to fit/weld maf sensor? Either that or put the MAF on the turbo inlet right?  Is an aftermarket recirc/blowoff valve recommended? Do currently have family in Japan so could probably bring something back with maybe a cheeky lil SuperAutobacs run?
    • Yep, so far most have said that it looks like corrosion on the wall from piston not moving. Which then has probably damaged the oil rings and caused those vertical marks. The longest the engine was still after the rebuild, was the winter of 2018 - 2019, plus the boat trip to Japan. When I shipped the car, it had normal gas in the tank but before that winter pause, it had E85 in tank.  In any case, even if either one of those was the cause, it happened close to 6 years ago and the car has been driven something like 30 000kms after the fact. Again, apart from the plugs and the dip stick, there is nothing in the way the car runs that would indicate what has been going on in the engine. I am going to consult a shop and ask their opinion, what would be the best approach. I do have some access to a garage I could use to diagnose further myself, but time is very restrictive. Might end up buying another engine that could be used while this one is being remedied. Without pulling the head, it will be impossible to find out if it needs another bore, but here's to hoping a hone would suffice.  Goddamnit, I would really have preferred this not happening.
    • Boot is going to be replaced eventually. I just wire brushed what I could and rust converted. Then painted in rust kill primer. the spoiler also got repainted and plugs replaced on the ends. The under side of the bonnet is going to be black also, currently white. But red on the top side, same colour code as the silo to begin.
