yeah..first one was bareable in some ways.. 2nd was a load of crap except for about 5 minutes of car stuff.

3rd.. not sure. Would be good if they brang back Vin diesel, he's a dumb ass but at least plays the part reasonably well. Just Paul Walker was lame in 2fast2furious as he was a bit of a dweeb if you ask me.

i actually kinda dug the movies....

shit storyline, nice cars = easy to watch.

everyone complains and picks on the movies, then they all watch it AT LEAST ONCE..

They are movies, they are for entertainment..

I don't know about you but GTR's, EVO's, muscle cars, Eva Mendez... That to me is entertainment...

and I WILL go see the 3rd one.. i second that.

Hey have any of you guys seen a movies called Redlined? Its an aussie movie made in 2001, and contained a Fast and the Furious type story line... as far as i know it was never realised here, as i brought it back from bali on DVD... it has no story line... no actual talking till about 15mins into it... and has the corniest aussie police acting... not to mention a WRX that out ran the cops in reverse... I've only seen it once, early one morning and the only reason i stayed awake was the disbeleif that movies came this shit... Provides a better laugh than Driven... put it that way! the movie was actually called in the red. i actually brought cos a heard it was meant 2 be good. i was bitterly disappionted. crap acting to the max.

that said i reckon they should let the japanese make the movies. they make some pretty good 1s. & no i'm not boasting.

my mothers friend produced 'in the red'. she told me some interesting stories about blowing up the porsche at the end.

she was on a few shows complaining about pirating and downloads of her movie... that means you :D

agreed, acting was lame... and i think it's funny how they kept shooting the s14's windows instead of panels to save money :D

on the subject of fast and furious - they're entertaining, but they've attracted oh so many dickheads to cars. one ****ing kid at school told me how he and his mate are buying cars and becoming street racers. not to mention giving people the notion that pressing the red nos button makes the car go fast via witchcraft

There mite be the new Eclipse in it, as the Fast and furious team seam to love the Eclipse for some reason.

hehe actually its not really a team...its more like one man...Craig Liebermann

he is the technical director and he basically decides what cars go in and how they are done up etc.......

The supra from the first one was his personal car.......and the 34 from the second one was a copy of his personal car....ie he has a bayside blue one with same kit etc....

In the 2nd one, if you go to the car chase scene at the end, where the cops are chasing them, just before the helicopter shoots the thing at them, there is a guy who is a look a like Vin Deisel....

interesting (Cough, Cough)

But anyways, a 240Z, some oldschool cars like a 2000GT and a KPGC110 GTR would be nuts

sorry mate but i bought mine from auto tek so unless they've pirated it ive got a legit copy. i was merely highlighlighting other's comments as i hadnt learnt to quote.

about in the red the cars were good but acting sent mi to zzzzzzzzz land , well almost.

i saw that on ten news well grabs of her talking about it anyway. it was on industry priracy music & movies.

below is my contribution if u read it propally

I must agree tho to an extent with GTRSRULE as japs do make the BEST cartoons and soapie dramas in the world, and most of the hollywood horror movies are based on many japanese ones e.g. the ring! The only thing jap movies actually lack is the budget and effects that hollywood presents.

I'm not even going to bother seeing the 3rd one.

$100 says that there will be at least 1 riced FWD car.

I'd rather keep that $11.50 and spend it on something better

joel, $20 says that you'll be begging me to go with you, the week that it is released! afterwards you can wow all the 15-yr-olds who saw the movie with a HETIC burnout in the s14! :P

Hmmm a Mitsubishi GTO in there would be nice. F#ck the american muscle cars off, i wana see pure jap crap cars only! Some form of sleeper would be kool as well... I'd pay to see diesel in his hardcore rx7 or new car whatever owned by a toyota starlet sleeper or something, & the person driving the sleeper was some hell geeky uncko guy like 'looser' & then he pulls all the bitches after the race & vin has to go home alone, that would be some funny sh#t.

Hahah im glad i didnt see Torque, i seen the Cribz episode of the douche who directed it... He blew ALL his money on getting some house in LA or somewhere expensive & he had Nothing inside his house, just a few gadgets like Plasma TV & stuff, & the rest of the house was empty with no furniture & stuff, he didnt even have a couch for the TV, just a stool, hahah what a tool.

    • No need to drill any holes. There's plenty of access to reach through and behind all of that steel to "push" from behind with a pulling action on the slide hammer. There's all sorts of attachments you can screw on the end of them.
    • Yea the photos aren't the best. When I was pulling the bumper and headlights out there was a bodyshop guy looking on for it, there is a slight bend behind where the passenger headlight is, but we're talking a few MM and there is a little bit of a bend for the reo. That said it's supposedly well within the "Drill a hole in it and pull it out with a slide hammer to be close enough" and be on our way. The other option is to buy a GTR reo for the GTR bumper bits but this is a $2000+ fix for something Mr Hammer can probably do 99% of the job for and everything will/can line up pretty closely-to-good-enough.
    • That's a write off for sure... Part out? 😛 I kid. It looks like the rad support has a minor minor bend in it too where the rep support sits near. Could just be the photos (and me not wearing my glasses right now). Worst case is you can buy a new radiator support, have it swapped over, and leave the car in paint jail for 12 to 18 months while you build the motor to handle twin turbos or a Harrop SC...
    • It seems the definition of "Gregging" something might need to be expanded?
    • This is why I suggested that there is really nothing that can safely be done in the engine bay at this budget level. Just the work to reassure yourself that the engine won't instantly crap itself the moment the boost gets turned up will wear out the piggy bank long before the first turbo gets installed. Spend $10k and still not have any extra performance? My tip is a version of our standard advice from 15 years ago about buying a GTR, which is not to buy one unless you can afford to buy two. The new version is not to modify a GTR unless you have all the funds required to do it all at once, properly, and enough to rebuild it after it blows up.
