The new fast and the furious movie will no doubt be shit. i never paid to see them at the movies, but i must admit i hired them as soon as they came out on dvd. the first movie was pretty good, even with all the rice shit and numerous mistakes in it though. The second was for the first 20 minutes was pretty good, but the rest was appalling, i cant believe they killed off the mighty gtr in like 5 minutes!! (and if you look closely in the parking lot of that gay ass rapper/im almost an actor ludicrous' garage, you will see a "sick" hyundai coupe chillin out the front) Even if the third one is in tokyo its still gonna be shit as i reckon. Drifting has taken off in the states so there is a possibility of some drift action, but i bet it wont be hardcore japanese drift, itll be based on the USAs idea of drift, i bet that Vin Diesel will have a "sweet" pontiac gto with a huge GT-wing and 5 NOS tanks and he will take it with him over to Tokyo and beat all the hardcore japanese cars. I can see it happening. You gotta realise though, the fast and the furious will always be aimed at the mainstream, not at the more hardcore and more well informed car nut, like a lot of us are i guess. Its still in essence just another typical hollywood big dollar blockbuster action movie series. It relies on the special effects and explosions and all that other action jazz to entertain audiences. The fact its on cars i reckon is just because there is no other movies where cars play a sort of major part like that.

I vote that SkylinesAustralia.com be consulted to select the cars in the next movie lol, coz i dont know about you guys, but im sick to death of seeing 100000 honda civics and other assorted rice shitboxes in those movies.

lol... the mistakes in part one were good...

The one i particularly liked was when Paul walker brings the RZ supra into Dominic's garage (the ****ed up one) and dominic starts talking bout how shit it is... then they pop the hood and see the sorry lookin Twin Turbo JZ engine and dominics like "i retract my previous statement"

What the **** was he expecting under the hood of an RZ supra??

1st one was great, i could watch it anytime again and again.

I luv it how everyone pays it out....."i'm too cool for the fast and the furious" Don't watch it then.....simple???

I hope more ppl watch it and maybe boost the industry more......strength in numbers i say.

im not sure if it was legend of speed but once on world movies (just after fast and furious 1 came out) i saw a japanese street racing movie and it wasnt too bad. I think the bad guys were driving wrx sti's and i think the good guy street racer was driving an evo 6 plus he had a few other cars coz he was some rich bloke...i think he had a gtr on a hoist in his gargage but dont think he raced in it

Now for fast n furious, the lead cars were always top jap cars (evo, supra, rx7, and of course the good ol r34 gtr) but that eclipse thing is terrible, and, they have to stop using nos so damn much

For the fast and furious 2 dvd i love prequel thing showing how paul walker buys his r34 gtr from the car yard and then takes it miami racing a ferrari 360 along the way

Yeap that sounds like legends of speed, so many black evo5 copies wit SKY-*** no. plates in chinatown after that movie lol.

A real life initial D movie is also being made in chinese with some big name chinese actors in it. http://zombie.bigboon.com/eric/multimedia/...gofInitialD.wmv

yeah i heard about the sequel... seems its gonna be set in indo-china, home of the drift :( sound good.. and vinny coming back will make it even better...

the first FnF was better cos it was set in LA and was more laconic than the 2nd, which was a load of shit if you ask me.. set in miami, with grotesque paint jobs and even worser looking girls... no offence to anyone, but i thought the 2nd one was shit.. it was more of a advertising stunt for miami than a movie..

LOOK AT THE DATE OF THE ORIGINAL POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

makes me wonder what you were searching for GTRSRULE when you found this thread mate :) As you were the first new post and all... :D

someone close this thread, before they realise there might be an interested in another FF movie and we have to endure more crap from crap shows like TT, and ACA, and then attention from boys in blue. We don't want this movies being made. Well not during the current "import" climate.

found this on the web:

Premise: After being allowed to get away by his new undercover cop friend in the first movie, fast-driving criminal Dominic Torretto (Diesel) heads down to Mexico where he lives a life as a fugitive, always just 10 seconds ahead of the law. Eventually, however, Torretto makes his way to Tokyo, Japan, which is the world's current capitol of street racing, where he is recruited to help bail out a friend who is in trouble with a powerful group of Japanese gangsters.

relaeased summer 2005, who's summer? ours or theirs?

    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
    • I wanted to try and preserve the front bumper as long as possible, they're not cheap and are made to order in Japan. Taking inspiration from my previous K11 Micra build where I made an undertray for the Impul bumper, I did the same for this BN Sports bumper but a little slimmed down.  This time round I only made a 'skid plate' (if that's the correct wording/term) for just the bumper surface area, the Micra version covered the gap like an undertray. Starting off with a sheet of mild steel approx. 0.9mm thick 4ft x 2ft in size. I traced around the bumper, cut it out and cleaned the edges. Luckily I was able to get two halves from one piece of metal In the video I installed it as is, but I've since then I've removed it to spray and add a rubber edging trim. The rubber trim is suitable for 1-2mm and it's a really nice tight fit. The bolts had to be loosened due to the plates being too tight against the bumper, the trim wouldn't push on I used some stainless M6 flat headed bolts for a flusher finish (rather than hex heads poking down), I believe this style fastener is used for furniture too incase you struggle to source some. The corner's are a little wider, but this may be an advantage incase I get close to bumping it  The front grill got some attention, finally getting round to repairing it. Upon removal one fixing pulled itself out of the plastic frame, one side is M8 that fixes inside of the frame, where as the other side is M5. Not knowing I could get replacements, I cut down an M8 bolt, threaded it inside the frame along with a decent amount of JB Weld.  The mesh was replaced to match the bumper. One hole on the bonnet/hood had to be drilled out to 8mm to accommodate the new stud, once the glue had set it could be refitted. I think the reason the grill was double meshed was to hide the horn/bonnet latch (which makes sense) but I much prefer it matching the bumper Bumper refitted and it's looking much better IMO The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVZP35io9MA
