... and then have the old man strangle me homer simpson style. (and I'm not taking on dad, he's huge lol)

I'll take him on thumbsup.gif.

People still keen to do a kingston park cruise?

Dropped the mrs home just before, not gonna lie - the TCS was flicked to off

Other than that it's perfect SWTOR/Skyrim weather

Or perfect weather to sit at the southern and get drunk for one of the guys from work birthday. If I wasn't going to the pub I would be sitting in the racing simulator playing GT5 all day

How was JDMland? Also where is my 34 GTR or KPGC110? I hope it's on the boat on the way over to me thumbsup.gif

Keen for the cruise Nick? Completely forgot to send you a text about it.

Yep 180 Nick.

Also how good is this weather?

Anyone keen for a photoshoot next month?

Just got back from Japland 2 days ago.

Nikk:

Yes...its me! Massive SAU fanboy/troll but proud non-skyline owner :D

Chris:

Couldn't get your cars for you, Chris. BUT I saw some pretty cheap ones for sale over there...couple hundred k's north of Tokyo with 'special' glow in the dark paint. Dealer guarantees me the paint will stay that way for at least the life of the car and then some :P

In all seriousness, I managed to see heaps of decent vehicles there...still plenty around but they only show up at night mostly.

I got some pretty pictures too...although most cars escaped the camera lens (mostly headed in the opposite direction, too quick for me to get the camera out)

If I show you some pictures of said cars you requested, will that suffice?

You guys just keep posting up details of cruises on here or text me, please. Might not make it for all but will definitely try haha

Defo keen on the glow in dark paint one, only if it's glow in the dark green thumbsup.gif

I guess pictures will have to do. Good to hear there are still some good ones getting around over there.

Only details about our cruises I will be post up on here from now on will be the date and whether it's a pub cruise or going to a sau event, all final details will be kept on the down low, as per request of a couple of the locals

Hey guys,

Just wondering if any of you have heard of the Oakey or Pitsworth races? Has anyone on here competed in them or know the routes they take?

Cheers

Are you talking about the sprints? Have never been was going to go last year but had other things on the same weekend but planning on having a look of I have time this year. Some of the guys from work went to both last year and said it was really good. Here is a map of the Pitsworth sprint course http://www.pittsworthsprints.com/course.htm

I used to head out an camp at the leyburn sprints heaps in school and after. One of my mates brothers had an old XY he used to flog around the course - and he was no expert. I'm sure you could give it a crack however they are 'historical' sprints so not sure what the categories are for cars.

Maybe we should cruise out as a club for a peep on Sunday? Being the last day everyone goes a lot harder.

    • Same.  It's depressing to say this but the skyline can go months on the charger between drives.
    • I often leave mine connected weeks at a time. The main one I use is the old model of this, it has 2 important features - choose battery chemistry other than lead acid (most of mine are AGM) - power supply mode which you can use to try and recover dead flat batteries as "smart" chargers often don't recognise a dead flat battery is connected https://www.projecta.com.au/products/IC10/intellicharge-10a-bat-chgr The Ctek I  use was meant to have a battery test mode as well but it doesn't work 100% of the time so I am pissed at them. The distributor did everything possible to make warranty and support difficult so I'll stay away in future. The main thing with a "trickle" charger is it has multi stage programs, ie once the battery is full it turns the current right down to just maintain the charge....in the old days we just used real "trickle" chargers for that which had a maximum output of say 500mA which was safe to just leave connected to dumb old lead batteries.
    • I've heard people claim with Just Cars (now defunct) and have been paid out, but painful process, and with Shannons, but noone I know or heard of has claimed with Enthusiast, hence I'm a bit nervous with their policy. Sure I'm "covered" but am I? is the real question
    • I have the Century CC1206 12V 1/3/6Amp 9 Stage Battery Charger. It is different from the one you linked but I don't know in what way. Their manual says that it both can be left on 24/7 and that it shouldn't be left on 24/7. Go figure ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I haven't been game to leave it on there for more than 2 days.
    • I don't read the 2nd paragraph the same way, I believe it is defining "modifications" from the previous paragraph, and I'd be happy to have a lawyer argue that in case of an issue.....if they have agreed to it and listed it on the schedule it is covered. Has anyone had them attempt to deny it based on that reading?
