I wouldve thought spec's could sneak in for free if they didn't have brekky?

That's what I thought as well, along as your not having brekky or going on track I don't see why you should have to pay. I am probably not gonna make it down now, really need to do an oil change on the old girl but autobarn have been messing me around for the last 6 weeks tell me that their order of RP will be turning up in the next week and 6 weeks later still nothing. So time to find another more reliable stockist.

Clint, Chris, thats what I got from reading what was posted up. I could be wrong though and I agree that spectators shouldn't have to pay if they're not eating brekky.

Perhaps one of you could clear it up with the SAU QLD hierachy? :D

Harold does good prices and delivers mega quick. I've been using him to get my goodies for the last 3 years.

I got 8 quarts (approx 7.75 ltrs) of RP off him few months months ago to do both the cars for $132 delivered to my door.

Certainly beats Autobarn for price at $100 for 5 litres.

You just have to put up with the many many small bottles ;)

Chris you better drive this car of yours a bit more more often if you're gonna be splurging on these expensive oils! Otherwise those too will just be sitting there.

You do realise that by hardly driving the car you're doing a lot of damage to it when you do fire it up every now and then? :P You really should just give me your car so I can drive it ;-)

Just saying ;)

I may have to change over to this goodiness. Only reason I haven't yet is because it's expensive. I use the HPR 5 stuff but do regular 3000km changes.

Do it, Tom.

Your car deserves a little treat every now and then...apart from the hard loving you give her every so often ;)

Haha that should be quote of the day ;-)

Well, that Penrite stuff I use rates quite high up there too....and from memory Penrite is in the top 3 of all the oils. But first the car needs to be going again haha ;-)

What does everyone think about doing a social night/ meet up once a month? For example we could go bowling, go karts, out of a feed or movies or what ever we come up with?

As with everything im keen, as long as organization is performed by a member (ie not me). All social functions I've attended thus far have been awesome :)

I'm down with that as always! Compulsory once a month meet min!

At Clint's on his elephant scrotUm couch :D

I'll be at powercruise gone every year since '08, the Saturday is the best day to go.

Be warned it gets f'n cold at night, but overall probley the best all round event qld have, jamboree has gota pick up its game, on a side note ill be at that aswell :).

Side note: Hey Ash you wouldn't happen to of epically failed in the burnout comp last year?

I remember seeing a purple and black 32 out on the pad at powercruise last year is all and just saw ur avatar.

Um by epic fail you mean getting towed off the skid pan in front of a couple of 1000 ppl then yes lol. Turns out 196 rear wheel ponies wasn't enough to spin the rears on the super sticky pad. Thought I had done a gearbox but turns it I exploded my clutch in rather impressive style.

Be back this year bigger and better than last year.

    • Don't do it if your gearbox box has already having syncro issues. The short hifter will put a greater load on them. If you must I remember Nismo did a shorter shifter, with the top part being physically shorter and the part that went into the gearbox was the same as stock. In saying that I've had a C's short shifter (I think) in mine for many years, which was given to me as the previous owner was not sympathetic to the gearbox. Thus forwarned I was careful and had to modify my normal changing style. You have to be super accurate with your clutch and shifts
    • Well, after a week of daily driving and having to crawl out between the wheel and the side intrusion bars. I got myself a quick release setup. I went with an NRG short hub and Quick Release with some cute heart cutouts on the pull tabs. Nice and matchy matchy with the rest of the interior accents I have going on.  The only downside is the total stack height even with the short adapter is longer than the old HKB boss kit. Luckily I had some adjustment left on the column so move the wheel away.
    • stock shifter with new bushes, springs and cup will improve it. Gktech do all the bits. The opinion as the years have gone on is the redline is not great in old gearboxes.
    • Hi all   what short shifter do you use on your skykine r34?   my synchronous does have a problem and i was getting huge delay and grinding sound between 2nd and 3rd, did put shockproof red heavy stuff and it is great now/ no issues   would in your view short shifter screw this up?   people seems to suggest/ use cube short shifter and there is standard and premium. Seen review of premium as much better and less play. Thoughts?
    • Yeah, there's a bit of a density and friability difference between pebbles and any of those other things. Silicone will definitely float in oil and so will be mobile enough to move around. Although, again, if it is upstream of the filter it really shouldn't go any further. I would only ever worry about silicone when it is in places downstream of the filter. Upstream of the pickup is a whole 'nother matter. We've all seen what that does. I have seen the most abominable crap settled out in industrial gearboxes, trunnion lube systems and the like, without any sign that any of it has touched anything in the machine. Just chilling in the bottom, waiting for the inevitable operator error that causes the whole machine to need to be dismantled for repairs.
