Hi all, my mate Barry ,when servicing my m35, tells me the universal joint from the shaft from gearbox to the front diff needs to by replaced. He showed it to me. It appears to have slight corrosion on it .It clunks a bit and he thinks it has lost its lubrication.

Could someone please have a look on "fast" and get a part number for me ?It would be much appreciated

Scotty suggested it may , repeat "may" be the same as gtr.and that i may be able to get one after market through cv/uni repair people.

Have any others.had similar problem?Appreciate any help that can be given.

Did you have a ggod look at it? It's quite probbable that there are no circlips on the universals i.e. they are of the non-serviceable type - you are suppposed to buy a whole new shaft. I wouldn't worry about some slight corrosion but if you want new universals you could take it to a driveshaft specialist and they will machine out the old ones and fit new ones (and balance the assembly).
