Sorry What I was trying to get at, was that there were GTR Skylines before the R32, but there was a gap bewteen them eg the DR30 RS and the GTS-R which were the equivilent of the GTR at the time of their production

Here's my effort! Let me know what you reckon - I know there's some problems that I'll need to iron out later on but this was a quick put-together.

Hardtuned.net cruise was on the Saturday and I thought I'd give a go at making a car-related video a couple days beforehand...

I should of did a bit more filming work at the cruise meet point or something darn it... feels like it's a bit short there.

Music is pretty meh... anyone wanna DJ for me for next eps? lol

Thanks for the viewing etc - I've not looked at this for a couple weeks haha.

The exhaust is certainly very quiet as there was 6,000rpm seen during the driving bit. I guess that's what you get for a 90dB exhaust - it literally makes no noise at all and i can hear the fuel pumps over the exhaust most of the time.

I provided the link to the guys that did the video so no doubt they've had a bit of a read and so on.

Some really interesting and awesome feedback. Some things we certainly didn't think of at the time that would make for some interesting additions for further work.

I think start to finish just in filming and setup there was around 5-6 hours of work. And then all the editing that goes on.

Some real dedication people in videography must have

Nope, I have another RB26 to put into it. Came out of a GTR I brought a while ago and ended up using for parts :)

Stock bottom end with turbos/dumps etc. No-one realistically will pay for the GTS-R with the current motor in it.

Not really about taking a loss - it'll be pretty obvious that i'll take a big one :P

Motor going into it is in great condition and what not, and will allow me to bring the price tag down to a much more reasonable level so that it will actually be at a price worthwhile for a buyer.

Plus i have someone that wants the motor in there for their own car haha :)

    • Nah no bearings, just slip fit.  Would be a reasonably challenging but not impossible job to modify it to run bearings but I'm hoping that's not necessary as I may have well built one myself if I end up spending hours modifying it!
    • Brumbys with good shells are bloody expensive, I've looked at 2 "cheaper" cars, and walked away from both,  plus after some research spare parts are fairly sparce I'm starting to think that I missed the boat on finding a clean one that is straight (ish) and without alot rust I'm starting to think about a old Hilux as panels and other parts are much more available as they sold tens of thousands of them I use to be indecisive but now I'm not sure
    • A Brumby would probably fit a big metal toolbox in the back... this is how it begins
    • Picked up a new OEM boot seal for the MX5 today as the old one got ripped a bit by me being a idiot by seeing if I could fit a large metal tool box in it, it didn't fit, and ripped the seal with the corner of the tool box I am still waiting on time to get the cams and new balancer installed, as well as the repairs to the boot Time will not be an issue soon though
