Boost Guage

i have searched but im not quite getting the info im needing. i want to know where i can T my boost guage off of. where the standard rb25det boost guage comes off is now used as a map sensor for the microtech. where else can i T my boost guage from.

There is a vacun hose coming out of the intake manifold it's very close to where the clutch fluid goes I'll take a pic for you in and hour when I finish work if you haven't figured it out by then

ok cool that would be great i dont want really want to put it near my FPR where everyone says but at the same time my car runs map sensor so the original boost guage port on manifold is used for that

it shouldnt really matter if you tee into your map sensor line. Its not Venting the pressure, it will have a sealed unit with some sort of spring arangement or something more technical. So more boost will push the spring further and create less resistance something like that anyway

any boost/vacuum line that comes off the plenum is fine, as long as your happy to use it. I have the MAP Sensor for my PFC boost control kit and boost gauge MAP sensor tee'd from the one line

Like 89CAL siad, any source line from the plenum is fine as long as you are happy to take it from there andanything else plumbed intop the line is a sealed unit i.e not used for venting etc..

+ 1 where I did mine, no problems and it means you get to use a shorter length of Vacuum hose.

yeah thats the one used for the map sensor

It should be fine to do it from the same spot

Personally i wouldnt T it off the MAP line.

Link specifically quote to NOT T off anything. Boost gauges, FPRs, BOVs or any solenoid of any type. A clean un-interrupted vac source.

Its up to you in the end however.

Yeah you're righ there but I ouldn't think that it would be a problem to link off a line that only the MAP feeds off as it is still a sealed line..its not like it has vent or valves out to anywhere..

its all good i forgot i had a vac line blocked off due to removal of the carbon cannister so i used one of those lines and left the map sensor line alone
