Hi,

I've looked through the forums about issues with the boost sensor, but have yet to receive an answer to my problem.

When I first got my car back in September the boost gauge was working fine...and then suddenly one day I started my car and I noticed that the needle on the gauge was at the very top (+1). I knew something was wrong, but I wasnt sure what it was, some people said it was the sensor and that I would need to replace it and others said i had a leak in the vacuum tube..i'm still not 100%

Anyways the problem is still there, and the needle is usually stuck at the top, or occassionally will go down...it has a mind of its own.

I'd really like to fix it, as its starting to piss me off.

Thanks

is it a vacuum/boost? or just boost.

I was told that "just" boost isnt good for the gauge as when the car tries to pull vacuum, it can screw the internals.

im pretty sure that they are only good on diesel IIRC

maybe u need a new gauge?

think the same thing is happening to my stock gauge, although mine just sits on -1 as in not registering anything.
