Turbo Issue?

Guys,

Recently after swapping my turbos to -9, i can hear this soft whistle sound when i take off mostly on 1st and 2nd gear....

is this something normal or should i get it checked???

It sounds like one of the trucks that have whistle sound, but this is not as bad as that....

any ideas guys?

Sounds like a boost/vacuum leak of some sort.

I'm assuming you've checked everything is tight and not leaking? Silicone Joins/Intercooler Piping/Intakes/Bolt on the turbo housings...

Yeah, the turbo's been professionally fixed....

It was fine before the swap, just happened after the swap...

Could be the natural "whine" of the turbo... ...I know when I've changed the air filter or left the top off the air box the whine of the turbo sounds different...

I'd take a stab it'll just be the turbos themselves mate.

you've gone to turbos with bigger wheels, and they are steel not ceramic rear.

They do "whistle" a bit.

If i didnt have the aids at the moment i'd tell you to come around and i'd tell you in 30 seconds lol. But im stuck in bed
