New parts put on tonight nismo rad cap, strut brace, bonnet rubbers on, a new sticker made up for the coilpack cover adds a few kw tongue.gif and another house badge to put on the timing belt cover.
Turbo is off ready to go and have the manifold off so I can finish machining it up and drill out the broken studs ready for the cover.

At this rate the car will never be finished...

I have sold my front r33 gtst brakes to my brother (XXXI) to put on his 31 as he has finally bought coilovers, so ill finish putting them in for him tomorrow night. SOOO the big question what brakes to do next? r33/34 GTR brembos will be the go on the front as I can't run anything else any bigger unless I went to a 18 inch wheel, like one of my mates will be running Evo IX brembos and a massive 350mm rotor ahh so much froffin.
So ill order my new rotors from work tomorrow and start to look for calipers once I have paid everything off that's pending atm haha.
My current hypergear turbo someone is interested in so if it sells ill be ordering a TD06 20G 10cm so im getting pretty excited now. grin.gif
Now I will be making more power I will have to put up my cushioned button clutch for sale as it won't be upto the task. I would love to go twin plate for more head room but it isn't in my budjet, thinking about going a npc clutch but a little unsure what to get.

A vicious cycle.

Got my GTSR manifold cover today from Fatz came in a pretty pink box haha.
Bought my 324mm 33R dba brakes from work yesterday. Took them to my mates place to fit them up too see and then my mates Dad bought front and rear brembo evo 8 brakes for $600, legit not stolen he has contacts over seas so they are cheap cheap to get sent over here apparently he can get Porsche brembos too.
My mate has put me onto a company interstate that do evo bake upgrades for skylines/silvias with 350mm rotors that he has used for his upgrade, I have emailed them about doing it for a r31 strut with these rotors but I don't think they will be interested in the job.
If I can't get the evo brakes to work witch I would love as they look so nice ill stick with the 33R brembos.
TD06 20G is all paid for and on its way as we speak, I need to get the gate and mount everything back up when the manifold is machined and work out where to put the gate port.
Clutch is up for sale if anyone is interested as it wont be capable of handling 300+ish kw.

WP_000933_zpse7f16e5a.jpg

And just a comparison shot for the lols. My brother is going from far right to the middle, and I might be going from the middle to far left.

WP_000940_zpscf82adc5.jpg

Got the new turbine the other day. Very quick postage if anyone is interested got to me with in 5 days. Ev told me today that he has hook ups with these turbos so if you want better pricing hit him up, I had no idea other wise I would have been all over it to help the locals lads. Wheels and gate next on the list and if my clutch sells a new clutch but apart from that updates might be slow for a while, evo 8 brembos are on the list of to do too. TD06 20G

So Jarrett's won platinum dealer of the year last year for the very last time the competition will be running its a world wide based competition on sales been new cars, accessories, parts, customer service etc and the boss came around today to give out thankyou bonuses to everyone. Having won it the previous year I had a rough idea on what we were all getting from the big man him self.
So I spent mine on the external waste gate Ev had priced me up on not too long ago after receiving the money roughly and hour before haha. 45mm turbosmart hyper gate is now crossed off the list of things to do. Once again great prices and service from the lads at G7.

WP_000982_zps25fc9216.jpg

Once I have finished facing the manifold I'll bolt it all together and figure out where im going to put the gate port on the exhaust housing. Ill also be changing the spring to something around the 12-14 psi mark whilst its in getting welded together.

Pics of the shed so close to moving her back home.

Finished facing the manifold the other day so decided tonight to head over and bolt everything up. Didn't get a great deal done apart from tightening up some of the suspension components in the front end and getting the exhaust side together.
Not sure about the 20's but I had to take the cam cover off to get the heat shield on rolleyes.gif .
As for the position of the gate its going to be a tight fit down there with a 3 inch dump with the low mounted turbo. The only way I can see it been out of the way and able to work is in a picture below, but sitting up higher and not so close to the block might do the trick. Then Im thinking I might have the pipe off the gate heading out towards the passenger side.

Found a full set of front and rear 5 stud hubs off a z31 at a local z wrecking yard yesterday witch surprised me as I was calling around every yard with no luck, and thought I would never find a set.
When he said he had a car there that he was unsure about wrecking or not I almost lost it, I wasn't holding my breath on how much he was going to charge as I know these are rare as rocking horse shit.
Lets just say even though he is a Z wrecker and admitted they were pretty rare he didn't ask as much as I was first thinking.

Got to love the old interest free work account. Happy as Larry!!

Just doing what Nissan should have done from the start.

WP_000039_zpsb8e258e6.jpg

Got the new hubs on with the longer wheels studs in last night, would I be right in saying that the hubs might have a lightly different offset compared to the machined ones? Just looks like the wheels don't poke out as far as they did witch im not really complaining about.
Ripped the donk out and put it on the engine stand ready to rock and roll in a couple of weeks when I move everything home. Can't wait to get everything home so I can get the odd jobs done after work instead of diving 20min each way.
Legit 5 stud. No dodgy shit here tongue.gif .

WP_000060_zpsd51753a0.jpg

WP_000054_zpsf8c0a9a0.jpg

Not a great deal to update with wheels from Coxy are on there way as of today so ill see them sometime next week with any luck.
Got my air guide back from the painters yesterday, not too bad for freebe painting tongue.gif .
Have a mate and someone else interested in my current clutch so if it sells ill be on the hunt for a 25 gearbox soon.
Got an old mate might be buying a rb27det soon and if he does it comes with a bran new npc twin plate that he will sell to me for a great price. If I have the cash when he gets his act together ill consider grabbing it but unsure at the moment if I will or not.

WP_000065_zpsee683a2c.jpg

These rolled up at my place today. Thanks to Coxy I finally have a set of model 6 AVS wheels in 17s.
Now the big mission will be to try to fit 255s under the guards haha. Might have to down grade to 235s up front and 255s rear but if not flares will fix all. tongue.gif
Next on the list is the all important 25 box but not before I pay more off my work account.

WP_000073_zpsaf4815c5.jpg

Trial fitted the avs wheels earlier with the 225 and a 235 tyre my brother had kicking around in Dads shed. The 255s touch the strut by a fair bit and the 235 only just touch the strut on the front. I found something I didn't see earlier when I changed the hubs witch is the rim or tyre (depending) now touchs the strut, hence my comment earlier about z31 hubs been less "offset" to the other hubs as my wheels now sit a little further inwards.
So another order to Gktech put through tonight, 15mm slip ons for the front so the 10mm will go to the rear, 50mm longer wheel studs for the rear and a strengthened clutch pivot ball for when I get a 25 box.
Also purchased a go pro hero 3 earlier on this week with a few accessory's ready for my bother to do his drift day next month. Hoping I can make some decent videos in the near future with drifting and circuit work between mates and myself.

Sheeett almost two years with out an update  where do I start??

She since has come home been pulled apart many more times, running, rego and now off the road again for more winter upgrades. Shes running on e85 with my home tune and ready to rock and roll to the tuna at the end of this year! Pretty bloody keen to get the thing tuned and on the road for summer, seen as shes a healthy donk she will pull good numbers. Think the limiting factor will be the TD06 20G now haha.

Sunk alot of money in Japanese quality parts as i got sick of the China junk, so a few orders have been placed through streeter since the last update.

Quick run down since August 2013:

Rb25 box

Npc clutch rated at 450kw

Alpha omega brake adaptors, Evo VI brakes, 350mm rotors, PMU hc pads front

S13 front coilovers, Gktech 5 stud hubs, new bearings, Hardrace tie rod ends, standard r31 lca

Lots of money has been spent at work (Jarrett Nissan) for replacement parts. Screws, trim pieces, switchs, seals etc what ever else was looking old and crappy got replaced if i could still buy them.

Just taken my third batch of exterier parts to my spraypainters for new paint.

Cage and track car setup interier wise has been throwen out the window and shes now back in street trim.

Engine has recieved N1 oil andwater pump, pon cams, id1000 injectors, greddy fuel rail, z3e2 afm, hks oil cooler with custom lines greddy thermostat for theoil cooler too.

Also picked up a aussie 31 for cheap as chips that I that converted into a cheap skidded. Coilovers, hydro, manual and a spooled diff. Cheap simple fun to take my anger out on instead of the coupe and regretting it if I stack it into some tyres.

Picks tell 1000 words:

Over another year and another update. Don't know why I don update this more often and keep it simple reading..

So:

Running full E85 and tuned at Garage 7 thanks to Decs. 293kw on 17 pound with the rear brakes locking. Going back before skyline nationals this year and letting him turn the boost controller on and see what she can really do :)

New cams are Camtech 268 9mm intake and 272 9mm exhaust. Installed a Genuine timing belt as I didn't like the gates belt, plus working to Nissan I get things cheap :)

Cheap 31 skidder got stripped and sold off. Kept the 3.0 as it was a good runner and I'm in the process of buiding a forged bottom end with a new rb25 head witch will get a good making over. CP flat top pistons, H beam rods, kings race bearings, ARP main and head studs, crank collar fitted, oil galleries drilled. GTR intake will be put on the 25 head and ill swap my injectors, GTSR manifold, turbo and computer across to get it running. Thinking ill get a full wire in link ecu and tune done as well, not really worrying about the engine for the time been as it will be the last piece to the puzzle.

Rear wheel bearings and seals have been replaced too, they must have been the originals from the factory as they were really flogged. Having a welded diff in the rear I'm surprised I missed them.

Evo rear brembos fitted thanks to alpha omega brake adaptors.

Have done All Japan day again. Few months of driving and testing out the new set up.

Dropped more things off at my painters to have painted, new rear end stickers were also done at this time. Have bought a r31house bonnet, N1 style rear lip to suit the coupe witch he has also painted. Last exterior piece to this puzzle was a set of Gram lights 57DR wheels in matt bronze. 17x9 plus 18 all round I believe really sets off this car now. Next year ill drop the car off to have the two tone painted basically everything except the front and rear bars, as well as the black waste bands down the side of the car.

Bought a new 2015 Nissan xtrail for the wife and I. Got a good deal on it so we both jumped on the offer and couldn't be happier. I must be getting old because I enjoy driving the xtrail a little more than the 31 haha.

Just dragged the car back from a mates place yesterday as I decided I needed a hoist to really go over every nut and bolt and have a better look underneath. Been on axle stands just doesn't cut it at home and glad I took it there, as I have missed some things that I may not have picked up. Plus it got the old girl out of the garage since Jan :).

Im still ordering seals, rubbers and spare parts through work. Basically what ever I can get my hands on and Nissan have stock I'm getting. Probably word so many things I have missed, but that's what I get for updating it once a year. Skyline nationals in October is in my sites an I'm pushing really hard to make it in time, have to skimp out and use the welded diff witch I don't really like but I'm running out of cash quickly.

I promise ill update this more!

WOW. This needs a serious update, alot is changing and bigger and better plans are stewing.

I had entered her into skyline nationals late last year for the track day, but the day before there is what i believe (and haven't chased it any further since) a dud wheel bearing, so because of that I didn't drive otherwise I would have a lot of footage.

I do have this with my mate driving:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtnVm8haaSg&t=1s

Back years ago when I had home tuned it and still had a crap mild steel exhaust.

Ill update this when I get some free time for the people that are interested :)

Awesome build man!! Interesting that it doesn't sound too much different to any other rb25 at the lower rpm's it's been driven at in your video... Sounds more like the gtsr late in the vid tho for sure...

We need a clip of it at 7500-8500rpm [emoji12][emoji6][emoji1377][emoji97]

That video doesn't really do it justice, but now with the Kakimoto exhaust and holding it back in gears accelerating slowly it sounds nice. Agreed i need to get this thing out and start enjoying it for what its worth.

Update time.
Sold the pon cams and got a set of Camtech 268 9mm-intake and 272 9mm-exhaust cams from Garage 7, retaining the VCT was my main goal.

Re tune make 326.9 kw, 546.8nm on 22psi thanks to Garage 7.

Brand new standard radiator and rb25 fan blade went back in, the thermos weren't cutting it on the dyno but I hadn't made up a shroud for them so that would have been half the issue solved if i did.

Got out to Skyline nationals 2016 towards the end of last year, show and shine plus the track day. Unloaded the car back at mine after the show and shine i took it for a quick spin around the block, from what I found it sounds like a dud wheel bearing. Cracked the shits that night, tinned on with a mate until early morning and then left for the track day with out the car. Spat the dummy at it and left it alone for a couple of months before I pulled the covers back off.

Ordered a brand new RB25DET gearbox through work, went in early 2017 and test drove it up and down my driveway :P

Feeling like the car was straying away from its 80's heritage I got my painter to paint up my old redtop covers and GTR intake. Same time swapped back to orange indicators and bought new side markers as they are still available from Nissan.

In the process of swapping over to GTR ITB, bought brand new throttle bodies and the whole swap is getting the genuine catalog thrown at it. Bolts, nuts, gaskets, IACV hoses, tps sensor along with a wider range of speedflow fittings and braided black hose. Adding a coolant bleeder at the same time to cure any air lock that might occur in the head/coolant system, will get a custom swirl pot made too. New plugs for the engine bay will be ordered and wired in at the same time of re looming the engine bay loom
S14/S15 AT performance catch can was ordered from Garage 7 and modified the bracket to suit my setup. Fits as if it was designed for it, more speedflow and braided black hose ordered and installed.

Have ordered some carbon style bonnet struts so I can get rid of the bonnet rod out the boot.

The ideas I have swimming around in my head currently ontop of the other things im going to do.
To pull the head off, have it checked, cleaned and have stiffer valve springs fitted to suit the cams even though I don't seem to be suffering valve float. Then thinner headgasket to lower the CC and ARP head studs.
Link ecu to bring the car into this century technology wise and get a full wire in to eliminate the old crusty loom. Have the flex fuel sensor installed with other sensors like fuel pressure to help protect the engine. Another reason I want to be able to plug my laptop in and diagnose/sensor check and log data when I feel the need.
Strip the engine bay right back and repaint it.
Old school 52mm black faced Greddy gauges.

That's a truely awesome engine bay dude!! Very R31House style indeed [emoji7]My engine bay will be quite similar to yours actually Ad's [emoji1377][emoji1377]
I'm just about to Aquire a gts-r manifold and I already have gtr itb's on my rb25 and finned rb20 red top cam covers ...
Is that dyno before or after the itb set up??

Thanks guys.

I have my inspiration from R31house that's for sure. That's good that you finally found one, Yahoo by any chance?

I will be getting my screamer plumbed back in at some stage as its way too over powering, and I believe it ruins the note these can produce.

The latest results were the cam change minus the ITB. Next tune will be the ITB setup and most probably the Link ecu with flex fuel.

Yeah man I had been watching the manifold for almost 10 months on yahoo hesitantly... It has been welded where an external gate had been attached and also all its heat shield mounting tabs have been shaved off...
But after sending close to 100 emails and pm's to countless company's and people on facebook, Instagram, forums, Ebay and gumtree I have realised how rare these manifolds are getting regardless of the condition so I just coughed up the coin and bought it last night...IMG_7989.JPGIMG_7988.JPG

Thats good. I have seen that one for quite some time, if I had the spare money I would have bought it and stashed it away for safe keeping. I would get the tabs welded back onto the manifold and re tapped, a couple of the threads in mine are pulled out and doesn't satisfy my OCD.

Think you have messaged me a few times about mine :) , welcome to the world of GTS-R manifold owner ship and people hassling to buy it off you.

Thank you kind sir! I am stoked to finally be a part of the GTS-R エキマニ タコ足 family [emoji16][emoji16][emoji4][emoji4]

I actually know a guy in the states who is holding onto a heat shield for me while I was searching for a manifold for the past year so I may just do that......

I was actually bidding on an rb20 three weeks ago that had an r31house manifold hanging off it and the seller wasn't aware... It ended up selling for over $5k AUD before tax and shipping and other fees.... It was a nice rb20 tho with forged bottom and built head with a ogura twin plate and gtr itb's as well as the manifold and to4s turbo and dump [emoji57][emoji33]
After missing out on that I thought f**k it! I'm buying an r31house Takoashi!!!!So I got onto moonlight racing who deal with r31house regularly and it turns out they don't make the manifolds anymore and aren't selling any of the spares they have either... So after procrastinating for a year and constantly just missing out on getting one I just committed to the one on yahoo...
