I have a turbo smart boost tee currently installed and running 12psi boost. it recently went past my setting due to a pesty friend of mine and was sitting at 16psi. i noticied this when the engine started cutting in and out at this boost when giving it a bit of curry. does the standard ecu have a cut out limit/restictor at a certain boost pressure as it it sounded like and felt like it was dopping the ignition to the plugs?

Yes the factory ecu has boost cut. Turn it down as the factory turbos don't like anything over 14psi i believe?

No the factory ECU has a safety for excessive airflow. Its not boost cut

You will be hitting this excessive airflow because of the extra boost. 16psi is way to much for a stock turbo anyway. Keep it at 12psi (although looks like it wasnt your fault that it went over this)

thanks guys and have already given old mate a tune up and told him not to f@#k with my shit! yer i heard 12 psi max so ill keep it at that. any estimates on power at that boost with only 3" through and front mount?

Somewhere between 120-170rwkw. Stock computers are very touchy in 33's. I made 140rwkw with similar mods. A friend made about 160rwkw. Hard to say hey
