rb20det + autometer tacho

just trying to get help installing a sports comp sliver tacho to work with a rb20det? i've wired it all up to a point where the signal from the ECU is the problem!! when ignition is on the tacho will read 3000rpm and not move, if i unhook the ecu tacho wire the tacho will return to 0rpm?? i've followed all the instructions to the letter and can't seem to figure it out??

P.S.. i've read the other threads relating to this and still no help so if anyone has installed this tacho with a rb20det let me know if you've hadf the same problem!!
