Boost Controller Problem

i have a question my car had a apexi avcr then some one broke in and stole it they just cut the wires and took the avcr no my car cant hit boost if i get another avcr and connect all the wires up will the car have to be tuned again or can i just set the avcr up to how it use to be some one help please thanks
