Tests on air filtering are based on 2 criteria...

a) efficacy of filtering and

b) flow rate

HKS is poor on both.

Simota is good on flow and fair on filtering - these sponge filters do fit the HKS mushroom pods.

APEXi is good on both and it's a dry filter which means it is better suited to an intake that uses AFMs

K&N is very good on both but being an oiled filter, particular care must be taken on re-oiling if you have AFMs
