Silly Question Re Dvd Rom

OK Silly question about the DVD Rom but it is only for uploading info right. Not playing DVD's. That would be ohh so simple yeah?

yes its only a navigational unit... it cannot be used for ANYTHING else.. and also it needs to remain in your car for the screen to work :S

It can be used to download the english conversion. It also runs the trip computer and compass.

if thats the one above the glove box then mines is gone as i have after market dvd player and when the car was at

chris in brisbane last year to have the cd play changed and english con done he could not fiind it in the car

Ive seen the dvd rom hidden before but not where it could'nt be found. So your saying you have the pop up screen with the jap text still? If so its got to be somewhere.

yep they destroyed it and tucked the board above the glovebox. that was a great example of a mess made by someone.

FInd a wreck and take it out, thats all you can do, if ur lucky it may already be an english one and you wont need to pay to have it convirted.

I have several here. one that is a partial english conv. some of these things are starting to develop PSU problems.. forget about buying a second one and pulling it down, swapping bits and firing it back up - great way to fk it..
