Rebuild Or Buy New Turbo For R33

my r33 has done 155 kms, i dont want more power and i want the best and cheapest way to enusre my turbo is running well,i dont think the turbo has been touched so shoulda i buy a new one or rebuild or.......

^^^^^ what he said only time you replace a turbo is if it broken or you want more power if you want the cheapest way to make a little more power and want the stock look i would get it hiflowed if you want to do that option speak to stao at hypergear but keep in mind you do this you WILL need aftermarket ecu and possibly larger injectors for the ecu i recommend a nistune if your on a budget

The problem with hi flows is the the ball bearing garretts are cheaper and a better option

Just grab a couple of -7 or -9s and enjoy them

if you dont want any more power just leave it as is and keep going

no need to replace what isnt dead

ive got the stock turbo on my gtst

i got it with 58,000 on the clock and its now got 236,000

its had 12psi since around 89,000 and still hooks up well

so they are reliable if treated well and serviced

There isnt really a point to rebuilding the stock turbo, there is no direct replacement Steel turbine wheel avaliable for them.

So in effect high flowing is all you can do...someone might be able to do it cheap, using a GT28 rear wheel and leaving your standard compressor wheel.

I doubt it will blow if you look after it. Keep boost under 10psi and keep up regular oil changes and all should be sweet.
