It says;

open bleeder

fully press brake pedal, allow pedal to return, wait 3 seconds

repeat press/return/wait sequence twice more

close bleeder

repeat for each corner and ABS nipples

So - is there a one way valve that stops air from getting pulled into the system when the pedal is released?

You DO NOT release the pedal. Yes air will get in.

It goes:

Person 1: Pump pedal few times until it goes hard and hold close to floor *

Person 2: Crack open bleed nipple and close.

Person 1: Release pedal.

REPEAT.

*You shouldn't actually go all the way to the floor as you can damage the master cylinder.

Yep thats the way i do it Phil, start at Pos 3 Tire (LH/R) Furtherest from the Brake Master Cylinder then go Pos 4 (RH/R), Pos 1 (LH/F) then Pos 2 (RH/F). If you have calipers with dual bleed nipple start on the outside one first.

I think that would be fine as long as you have a bleeder hose attached with fluid in it (ie if it does draw back it will only pull whatever just came out).

But still, it doesn't make a lot of sense, it would always be faster and more reliable to close the bleeder in between.

There is definately no 1 way valve(s)
