I have an issue with my r33 rb25de ! :(

So basically when the engine is COLD and i start driving it. In first and second gear when my revs are low the car makes a whining noise (i THINK when im holding down the clutch and accelerating). Realyl worries me, sounds like theres a major issue.

Any help will be appreciated!@

If the clutch is worn chances are the thrust bearing is worn to,

Before I changes my clutch yhe bearing was really loud

As asked before does the noise go away when the clutchpedal is all the way to the floor?

Also you said it only happens when it's cold If

The sound goes away when the cars warm it could be a sign of a gearbox problem

Hmmm not really sure then you might want to have that looked at by someone who's know what they are doing could be a gear box problem,

Luckily it's not a hugely expensive job to swap it over if your getingthe clutch changed it would cost any extra in labour, it's just a natter if find a decent condition reasonably price gear box

Im not 100% sure. It happens when the clutch is engaged + im accelerating. If i just hold the clutch and dont touch the gas i dont think it makes any noises.

Next time see if it is in all gears except for forth... Forth is the only gear that doesn't put pressure on the cluster shaft bearings. Could also be your input shaft bearing. Both are very common noises on our gearboxes.

Are you sure it's the trust bearing?

I've never heard a thrust bearing that loud and Ive had 5 or 6 different make cars with a very worn or slightly worn thrust bearing

Not 100% but I've got a mate who's done 3 or 4 thrust bearings in the past and he's positive that's it. Did show up very suddenly and very loudly though. Need to get an expert's opinion.

It had run out of power steering fluid!

Dude not cool, check all fluids(under bonnet) every two weeks as a guide, more if you know you have problems that cannot be fixed for a while.

EDIT: Just sayin, not hatin.
