Wish I had have known that back when I was doing my build (2 years ago now!).

I'll definitely keep it in mind if I ever pull down the motor again. Have you got any idea of the power they can handle?

matlowth, not sure of what their power limit is. It'd be more than the factory rods, which are reasonable as it is. These forged ones would be rated to at teast 100hp per rod at a guess. That's really be more than I'm after, so its nice just to have as insurance.

Finally, an opportunity for another update. In this one I show off how to fist a q45 throttle body and how cool engines can look sitting on an engine stand.

(Note, 80mm q45 is still nowhere as big as vspec's gi-normous 100mm'er! But the q45 does fit the greddy plenum like a glove).

Yeah, tell me about it. Although to be fair, it went into the workshop in April (on the waiting list till then), so only 5 months (!) and still being built.

Waiting for aesoteric parts was a large part of it.
