Aftermarket Gauge Placement

Hey I was wondering where you guys place your aftermarket gauges?

I currently have my boost gauge mounted at the base of the a-pillar which is barely legal but I haven't been pulled over for it so I can't complain (yet).

I've got an EGT I'd like to mount soon as well as Oil Temp & Pressure (2 x gauges), Air Fuel Ratio and possibly a Fuel Pressure gauge.

All suggestions are welcome. Pics of your gauge placements would be even better.

Yeah, I got a boost gauge in the same position. I can't see what would be wrong with it, the only thing it obscures is my view of the back corner of my bonnet! Like I really need to see that.

Too many gauges.

I got three in my centre console GT-R stylin' (oil temp, oil pressure, water temperature).

Boost gauge on column.

I'd like an EGT but that's about it. I suggest perhaps an Apex pen timer with O2 AFR reading included. Ask yourself if fuel pressure and all the other crap is needed.

Water temp. is useless if you have a PowerFC.

I have Autometer boost and A/F gauge jammed at the bottom of the A pillar with Oil temp, Water temp and Oil pressure in the bottom slot in the centre console as the Climate control sits in the top din slot and the stereo sits in the second slot.

good place: air vent on RHS of dash next to steering wheel...

you can get defected for obstructing view or obstructing other instruments so be careful...

i had my oil temp and boost guage in the dash under the climate controll.. but it annoyed me having to look down everytime i wanted to read them .. so i got rid of them.

Yeah I had thought of placing the EGT there but seeing as I already have trouble seeing the vent whilst driving it's not much use placing a gauge there...

I put the boost gauge in the centre console but find its too difficult to look at while driving. so that sucks as a location.

as waz said, i mount my boost gauge in the RHS vent next to the wheel s15 style.

a lil hard to actively monitor, but with electronic peak function etc. on the gauge its still good.

looks snug... doens't cost anything and you can't get in trouble for it.

y do u have so many gauges man? u pumpimng out over 600 horses or sumthing??

Nah, I wish, the 3 in the console came out of a mates car when he sold it so i got them on the cheap, mainly because i wanted the oil pressure as the factory gauge is a bit intermitent.

The boost and af meter were out of my old car and i wanted to know what was happening with fuel mixtures when i started winding up the boost. Af gauge is really an indication only but if it's anywhere but full rich when i put my foot down then i know to back off.
