Urgent: Rb26 Gearbox To Stagea Rb25Det Engine

Hi guys,

I've currently got a R33 GTS-4 but I'll be upgrading my engine to a RB25DET out of a Stagea later this week...I'm also upgrading the gearbox just wondering if an RB26 Gearbox will just bolt up or anything that may need to be changed eg: Flywheel, Clutch, Slave etc...

I've got an option of a R32 (Push type) or R33 (Pull type) gearbox, I'm guessing as RB25DET from R33 and R34 are pull type boxes it would be easier to use the R33 GTR gearbox would I be right in assuming this?

If you know of any other possible problems with this engine convesion from GTS-4 to Stagea engine I'd love any info as well

I have an R33 GTR box in my S1 Stagea. Was a conversion so needed a new flywheel and the clutch cylinders and lines (and pull type clutch) . Used the stock Stagea gearbox mount and front and rear driveshafts.

Would someone be able to tell me if the Gts4 R33 gearbox is a push or pull type as i know the new GTR box is pull type need to know if ill have to change the flywheel and clutch.

1995, i found from 98 onwards they changed to pull type...correct me if my findings were wrong...So ill be getting a 32 GTR gearbox being as the earlier 32gtr gearbox was push type.

i bolted a 32 gtr box on my stagea

btw the only issue for push vs pull is the clutch. either setup will bolt onto the motor as long as the clutch matches the box type
