Fruits are a good source of...

* antioxidants

* complex carbs as fuel

* enzymes

* precursors for good prostaglandins

Fruits are best taken local and in season.

Have you noticed that local winter fruits are good for the immune system? Winter apples have seeds rich in Vit B17 or Laetrile. Winter grapes have seeds rich in resveratrol. Tis good to eat the seeds.

Have you noticed that local summer fruits are good for the skin? Apricots and paw paw for example.

Also to add, my question is what do people think of fruits?

SSOS recommends berries or citrus fruits as they contain the lowest amount of fructose and a high amount of nutrients.

Fruit in general contains fiber and I tend to eat various types of it :)

Some interesting facts Terry.

As concerned to me I would always like and loves to stick to basic food plan like eating fresh vegetables, fruits, juices, some meat, fish and beans. As these contain all necessary ingredients for proper growth of our body. Along with some regular walk, exercise and gym work.

eggs are quicker to cook than people think... pull pan out, chuck it on the heat, tiny bit of olive oil, crack some eggs in, handful of spinach and in 2 mins its done... if you want some carbs throw a piece of oatmeal bread in the toaster or I like to microwave up some baked beans

I kicked cereal a few years ago... one of the best things I did

I've tried rolled oats/porridge but I feel full and sluggish after... but I can eat a big egg meal and be at the gym lifting an hour later, no problem

find what works for you

i see what you mean about oats, but they're good if you're in a hurry.

I love oats now. I tried them with milk at first and they made me feel really sick, even though I can drink milk without any problems. So I switched to having them with just water, so yummy! Only takes a couple of minutes to prepare in the microwave. I find they do make me feel full for a few hours though; I don't exercise until the afternoon, so I don't know how I would go at the gym after eating them.
