"a" Displayed On Odometer

Hi all,

Does anyone know what the "A" inside a square displayed next to the trip/ odometer?

Is it something to do with a trans service...

I am not really sure what to search for on here?

transmission is a flashing "AT Check"

Trip A, as in you can have a Trip A and a Trip B to track your kilometers in addition to the regular total odometer reading

I was thinking it might be my transmission as it doesn't seem to be very smooth. When I am accelerating in "D" it doesn't seem to change gears very smoothly.

Does anyone else get that (is it an M35 thing) or should I be worried.
