hey guys, not trying to be a pain, but where the heck can i find a spare LED set for a S1 R33 spoiler. mine don't work anymore, and i've no idea where to buy a new set.

I ended up getting Ed at Tez to source the whole unit and fit it ---- took a few days if I remember for the part to come in and about 15 minutes to fit it....

Stay away from Evo - they wanted to charge me $400 just for the unit

Yoh Terminal - how things end up with the brakelight? Any success?

I sourced one from just jap, $135 2nd hand. a mate of mine says a mate of his is pretty good with led's, and owes him a few favours. said he might be able to repair it for me. i still haven't gotten a replacement though, i've had a few other things pop up that were more important recently (living). i didn't get around to ringing Tez yet, i'll try them next week when i've got some cash again

you may be able to just repair the brake light yourself, there was a thread on here a while ago about it, seems you just have to take the light apart, identify the fault, which could be as simple as a hot joint then fix it, you may even be able to buy new leds from jaycar for a couple of bucks and have a go yourself

yeah i figured i could, but the problem is trying to get the light apart. it seems to be glued. i tried myself and cracked a bit off it...

fair enough, i havent seen the light, but maybe you can stick in the oven for a little bit, or use a hairdryer, to soften the glue then run a stanley knife through the seal.
