This has happened since i put a head unit stereo in my car. i think could be some kinda of fuse blown but i have checked em. Can anyone help? MegaGTS4
Have you checked power steering fluid level? EDIT: Also the hicas system is voltage sensitive so maybe you might have bad earth or jumped the wrong wire, did you remove the steering wheel in the install? Micko
Mine does the same - got me stuffed so I might just hoik the hicas altogether:D When yours does it, do you find sometimes that the steering becomes heavier, even if it is at low speeds? Aside from the fluid being low, the other main problem seems to be related to the "disc" in behind the steering wheel being faulty - do a search on hicas & you should find some more info Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/36383-electrical-fault-r32-gtr/#findComment-725831 Share on other sites
predator
did you remove the steering wheel to get to the facia to change over your stereo at all? like micko stated, the hicas sender is a disc that is located in the steering wheel. Its possible if the steering wheel was removed, this was not hooked up properly. MegaGTS4
Find a copy of that manual for the R32 GTR that is floating around and diagnose the problem from there, as the HICAS light flashes a fault code.
