You all probably already know this but the Police are currently cracking down on defective cars in the liverpoolish area, be wary of breathalisers that double as defect stations as they have been on the prowl (this includes Harrys cafe de wheels, HA) so just take it easy in the burbs.

If you arent driving like an idiot you have nothing to worry about. The point of such an operation is to catch idiots who are dumb enough to street race - keeping the roads safer for the rest of us.

"If Eastern Creek was open more often, we wouldn't have to come here," Sam Salah, 22, said.

Mr Salah's Nissan Skyline was confiscated by police yesterday morning, along with his friend Eddie Semerci's BMW M3.

They estimate each car to be worth more than $70,000.

LOL, what was it a 10sec GTR ?

You know what sucks Ben, I know of sydney people on this forum who street race regularly. I recently found myself conned into going for a drive to view the "runs" on around the central coast and frankly i was shocked. It was the most stupid dumbass display of moron drivers I have EVER seen. As soon as I had parked, and come close to being taken out by one of them, I saw someone from this forum (username is his number plate) tearing up the wrong side of the road against another car.

The more this happens, the worse it becomes for the rest of us who DONT street race.

Street Racing doesn't interest me after racing at WSID the last 2 weeks.... You don't get a time slip on the streets...

Very true ben - seems like on the street they have these different sort of racing marshalls all dressed up in blue that hand out different coloured slips instead !!

"When they do burn-outs and the car starts spinning its wheels, the spectators were pushing the rear of the vehicle to start it spinning – it's a very dangerous situation," he said.
Common defects found were bald tyres resulting from burn-outs, lowered car bodies and altered exhaust systems.
