Ok, so I can't guarantee that it'll be all for the latest models, but I've got my hands on FAST, and I've pulled some part numbers for SAUNSW members today. I'm looking at extending this service outwards; keep in mind I'll reply when I can to it.

I'll need a fairly detailed description of what you're after, unless it's fairly obvious (such as "R33 rear hub stud" or something). I will need the VIN too, as it's all dependent on that.

Winner. I think it has the R34's as well but I dunno. Someone throw me a VIN and I'll test.

Very useful for checking up those small little things you need to get!

Hey Mate,

Can you give me an idea of what parts your able to obtain.

I have an R34 GTT with severe front end damage (caused by an accident that was NOT my fault), the bumber bars f**ked, and all the cooling components have moved, the intercooler, oil cooler, and radiater have all been squashed together and the fan has been lodged in to the radiater.

I've had it assessed and all the parts have been ordered but that was 6 weeks ago and no news on when the hell they will arrive. I can only assume the delay is because of the earth quake in Japan, needless to say I'm f**king over it.

Please let me know if you may be able to help, if you think you can, I will give you the VIN number.

Thanks

Paul

fairly sure he is not talking about obtaining the parts... more along the lines of obtaining the part numbers for all the gear you need so you don't have to call nissan and be like " i need the clip thingie majig that goes in the whats it call it.." you can just rockup and be like PN:00012-2123 thanks!

can save some serious headaches when there is a miss communication with nissan spares

[Yeah fair enough I can understand that

Thanks Paul]

Joel's correct; I can only get the part numbers, and not the parts themselves. As an example, he needed some studs for the rear hub as some of them weren't so happy, and I was able to get him a part number quickly (and then go get them for him because I'm living ~100m from Liverpool Nissan).

Sucks that you're in a shitty position though :( When I had my big accident in the 33 a few years back, parts came in fair quick. Have you tried multiple Nissan dealers?

[Yeah tell me about it, it sux big time. This is the 3rd serious accident I've had in the R34 (none were my fault, the other drivers were clearly in the wrong each time, so at least I don't have an excess to pay.

With the first two accidents the parts all arrived in about 2 weeks (which isn't to bad), I suspect this time they may have been delayed because of the recent earthquake in Japan.

I spoke to my panel beater today, who has chased them up to find out what's happening, and he has been told all the parts are available and will be here in two weeks, guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Paul]

Hey owen i need the hicas loom that goes around near the diff

(dog ate it)

I'll get the vin.

Thanks dude!

[i might have one of these lying around, as I've had the HICAS on mine locked, I'll let you know if I ncan find it.

Paul]

If the loom is actually connected to the HICAS unit, then I've got one at home, but if it's what I think it is, let me check something on Friday/Sat. I'll still check FAST for you, but tomorrow night at this stage (just got home sigh, M5 closed grumble)

Has your panel beater considered using second hand and/or aftermarket parts sourced locally?

No he hasn't, he's a very good panel beater (I've used him several times before and he's resprayed my whole car and did an amazing job) who only ever uses brand new genuine parts. To be honest I wouldn't have it any other way.

Touch wood, the parts should be here in two weeks.

Thanks

The price of being essentric I'm afraid, you really can't have it both ways.

That being said, you mentioned that you need to replace your oil cooler... as far as I know there is no standard oil cooler in any R34 except for the GT-R. Assuming that I'm correct and you have an aftermarket oil cooler, why wouldn't an aftermarket radiator suit your needs?
