Engine Problem

[GT-T 1998]

hey guys,

i have a 1998 r34 gt-t and some times wen i hit boost its going between 5-7psi and about 4000 revs then the car will sorta backfire noise in the exhaust and have less power and revs will slowly go up boost will be the same..

i recently cleaned my engine and got water down near the coil packs but i cleaned that out and used dw-40 on the connectors.. the car ran better but now its much the same again..

ive been told the coil packs r stuffed buy some people but then i sort that would mean the noise would always be there even in low revs

If the water is all gone put in a new set of spark plugs, if the issue is still there try gapping them down down to .8mm.

Another option is buy pre gapped spark plugs to .8mm

coils can only break down under load and not all the time, and they dont like to get wet.. sounds like coils
