Search through here and you can see what other people have tried, might help a bit. No one has managed to get this working so far here, but the Japanese can do it so it must be possible.

That's a good point Ryan. There's got to be maybe a dozen guys that have made pretty big efforts & spent plenty of their time (and money ) ringing, emailing, trialling stuff etc to try & find a solution (partial or full) which will benefit everyone. Eventually I'm confident something will work out, maybe even a couple of different options, & who know where the answer will come from?

The more people thinking inside & outside boxes the better IMO.

Umm... they make a loom, so we know the F-con will work on an NM35, the issue is just finding a tuner.

Strange. He was non stop for a while & had a shopping list the likes I've not seen for someone who's had a car for such a short time. 100% Correct, its a Hitachi 64F7055F40

sorry to bring up an old thread.

I understand the ecu chip is a hitachi 64F7055F40 but this chip come in many variants does the chip have any sub letters or numbers printed on it starting with SH or the like.

just putting this here incase someone happens to have an already open ecu and can take a squiz for me pissing down and dark outside so cant get to it myself atm.

im going to take a squiz at this process see if it leads anywhere as there is alot of code involved have to get my head around HEX and main thing being to identify checksums. not looking at flashing or canbus hacking just curious to see whats in there and how it works.

EDIT: Got a bit ahead of myself in posting above statement the hitachi chip is part of the SH7055 family and only has support for bosch CAN 2.0 version. no response required
