Hi,

Don't suppose you can pm me a dyno sheet and let me know what else you've done. It's not that I don't believe you, I just thought I'd done everything to cut the lag before opening the engine.

Even with a built 26 -5s are lazy on the street :)

Noticeably laggier in/out of gears, in the hills etc. You have to really wring the cars neck compared to having -9s (having had both)

-5s come into their own above 150km/h, but for most people thats largely useless.

i disagree, my -5s are great on the street and in the hills they are awesome.

i dont think they are laggy at all

ive been in a very very laggy GTR, i cant handle the wait.

i think allot of it comes down to supporting mods and the tune

Driven a GTR with -9s on it on those same roads?

That's where the story tells itself i found.

It was a noticeable increase in lag as id driven the same roads with -9s for 4 months before i put on -5s recently. I also found myself having to drop a gear more often with -5s and really get up it where -9s due to coming on sooner didnt need that geardown.

The only thing in favour of -5 is they pull to 8000-8500 no problem where the -9 are finished by 7000-7500. but they come on later so it makes sense.

In effect its probably a good thing for a stock motor to have the ones that don't have you keep burying the foot to higher rpm
