As you might have seen in the What have you done to your Stagea thread, I recently bought a Nismo 280km/h cluster.

After I bought it, Iain informed me there are two versions, one to work with the factory screen/nav and one that doesn't.

The one that does is RNM50/8HH3, which is the one I have.

If you have freakishly small girly hands (*ahem*Iain*ahem*), you can do this with the steering wheel on. If you don't, you'll mangle it leaving the steering wheel on, and you'll have to do it again, like I do, as none of the screws will line up for the lower plastic cover and the plastic ring round the key barrel. It is damn near impossible to access the lower screws without removing the indicator and wiper stalks.

Andy has posted some instructions on removing the steering wheel already, which you'll find if you search. I might try and update this after I remove the whole thing and do it properly.

It looks the goods, and I'm stoked that my screen still works! Thanks to Iain for the help!

I bet it looks just like mine. lol.

I did it in Aarons driveway in half an hour, I never took the wheel off and the missus says my hands are huge. :whistling:

The indicator/wiper stalks just unplug. Genius Mr. Nissan.

disturbing..

but yeah it shouldn't take long.. we changed his in the dark too

Yeah I will. Dunc has that setup and it looks awesome. Need to get the boost gauge working first. Seen Scott's soldering instructions on here, just need to get around to doing it.

Sorry for the delay Sage, here you go...

I'm not sure if I'm imagining things, but it seems to be more accurate than the stock dash. And looks awesome

Dash looks very sexy Ryan. LOL @ more accurate. I doubt it could be less accurate than the standard one, haha. Are those your original dash's km's on odometer or did the Nismo odo transfer across? Sorry, no idea how these things work.

Yeah not a stupid question Leon. I figured in these things the odo would be stored in the ECU or somewhere other than the dash.

It's not.

Car had 78,000 on it when I put the Nismo in, after was 65,000. So I've wound back the clock 13,000km, but I figure I have the original dash still, so it can be verified. And it's not as if I replaced it TO wind the clock back.

If anyone is after a cheap cluster, there's one on IM at the moment... http://www.importmonster.com.au/view?url=http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/148883691&thumb=http://f6.auctions.c.yimg.jp/img341.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/users/8/4/9/8/ssgmgoo-thumb-1307581850878906.jpg&title=NM35%20NISMO

$178 should get it here landed for around $270.

Also anyone got the easy way to pull off the indicator and wiper stalks? I haven't worked it out

Easy, thanks.

Didn't get a chance today, will be a weekend job!

Also I just realised, that cluster on IM will suit someone without the Xanavi screen, as I think it'll be the same as Iain's, which means the leaf won't work (although you might not care).

aww f**k. I just bought this...guess all the display and stuff won't work?

Stupid engrish...

Because seal number the reverse side is RNM50, conformity 4WD and VQ25DET (excludes AR-X)/for manufacturer OPTDVD Nabi equipped car

Thought that meant it WOULD be compatible...garrh

Will my Asuka still work?
