Hey guys,

I'm located in Canada and am trying to gauge the value on these turbos. (Theres not many for sale around Canada for me to gauge the value on)

I have two R34 N1 turbos.. One is in great condition (minimal shaft play - spins great) and the other is very tight but has no wheel damge - it will have to be rebuilt.

Does anyone have an idea what these things are worth?

Thanks

Ye you'd say both in good condition - maybe 1500.

But with a busted one, someone still has to buy a new one @ $1100 so on its own it's not worth a lot as if you do buy a new one...

You then have new, one used - so realistically it doesnt make sense to spend 500 on a 2nd hand one when you can buy 2x new ones for the extra 500

How tight is tight? (geddit? tongue.gif)

nar seriously... most turbos 'tighten' up when they're taken off the car... I've had my brand new disco potato off the car a few times, and after 10,000kms, the bearings felt tighter and more restrictive, as soon as you put it back on the car with oil flowing through it, they kept spinning for 20secs after you cut the motor...

Keep in mind they have some sort of appeal for 4cyl owners. I've seen R34 N1 turbos used as singles on a few S13s... Maybe check the Sentra forums too...

Keep in mind a brand new core from Garrett for a 2860rs is about $800 bucks, the housings could be fitted with a little machining.
