Hey guys need some advice.

I have installed and wired a S2 RB25DET into my HR31 and after sorting out a couple electrical dramas i now have another one.

Long story short the car was running sweet and going good i parked up at the pub done the usual cool down car turned off fine, got back into it afterwards she started fine then the Mrs got in and said she seen a spark from the ecu kick panel. Parked up at hers went to turn the car off and just kept on running, gauges, turbo timer everything will go out except for the warning lights only way to turn it off is to stall it.

I thought it was the turbo timer playing up so i disconnected it but still the same.

Mate came around checked relays, computer, wiring fuses still nothing.

I checked the ignition switch behind the barrel tonight no dice, even tapped it like another mate said to try.

Same mate said to check the wiring if there is a poor connection or a short to a ground in the loom. (Will check this soon)

Is there anything else that it could be or i may need to look at?

I used this wiring diagram here:

Mine was a little different as that is wrote up for a aussie 31.

Cheers

Adam

The turbo timer introduces another relay into the ignition wiring. Could be that one. Also, they don't have to stay energised to stay on. The contacts can weld together so that it's always on. If the turbo timer relay was the culprit, then finding a way to stall it out might reset the turbo timer so it looks like everything is off, but as soon as you start it back up, you have a switch providing power all the time that keeps the engine up even when you try to kill it.
