Nightcrawler
http://www.robrobinette.com/et.htm Using my old S15 as an example it was 1,250kg +100kg for me = 2,976lb Power was 200rwkw = 268rwhp Calc comes up with 12.99, which was what it did on a regular basis .... but I once got it down to 12.74 with good tyres and an awesome launch. But that calc comes up with 12.6 for an R33 with 100kg driver at 240rwkw, which is a bit optimistic imho unless you had massively sticky tyres and the launch of a lifetime. I reckon a flat 13 is par for the course for a 240rwkw R33 with decent tyres and a decent driver. SLED
Jet, you also have to factor in gearing and traction as well between your example and Andrew's S15 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/365407-the-wasteland-2011-edition/page/86/#findComment-5967917 Share on other sites

SLED
I really hope they catch these morons and throw the book at them. For those of you with kids out there, imagine if you had pulled over ahead of them and one of your kids opened the door at the wrong time...........I know I'd be up on charges of manslaughter Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/365407-the-wasteland-2011-edition/page/86/#findComment-5967956 Share on other sites
Madaz
^^ probably not as when you have adrenalin and shock running through your body your not always in control of your actions and that is actually a defense Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/365407-the-wasteland-2011-edition/page/86/#findComment-5967971 Share on other sites

Interesting app, It says 14.46 for my car using the cars weight (1320kg), the extra 45kg for the R33 box and the XXXkg for myself lol. Also using the figure I got from Willall Saturday (cough 156.2rwkw cough) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/365407-the-wasteland-2011-edition/page/86/#findComment-5968378 Share on other sites
Nightcrawler
I don't think that is right Dion - it seems to get less accurate the higher weight the car is. There are heaps of online drag calcs, go Google some - they came up with times between 14 seconds and 13 seconds flat for my V35 depending on which one you believe. I believe it would be dead inbetween the two, personally Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/365407-the-wasteland-2011-edition/page/86/#findComment-5968392 Share on other sites
LTM
and this is why we need a drag strip. Online calculators mean bugger all. Depends on so many things like gearing, tyres etc etc. I've seen cars with around 320rwkw run 10's then cars with 500rwkw run 11's. All depends on grip and getting the car out of "the hole". SLED
gearing & traction will affect times...........a good holeshot (reaction time) will only affect a win or lose situation.....not times Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/365407-the-wasteland-2011-edition/page/86/#findComment-5968567 Share on other sites
