I've heard something to do with the diff bush giving out and gearbox can if iffy.

+1 to this. My brother in law's 01 BA xr6t (in the 12 months he owned it) chewed up a diff and a 6 speed gearbox. It was 330kw+atw however

all the above issues were fixed with the FG Adrian.....if you can afford a 2008 FG XR6T, that's the way you should go..........with the ZF 6 Sp Trans

except for the issue of chewing out diff bushes.........my mate's G6ET is on its second set of brand new bushes in 12 months

yeh fords are shit stay away

if u half know how to maintain a car its not a issue , if u choose to leave 200,000km old diff oil in and rip a billion skids yeh itl let go whats new, most of the issues related to the boosted flacon are due to dip sticks not looking after it or just expecting the trans oil to last forever and tow a 3tonne boat daily :spank:

if ya intrested in the so called boosted falcon jump over onto the fordxr6turbo.com.au website and have a read horror and miricle storys all over the place :ninja:

hot tip the newer xr6t u can afford the better it is period

I was an advisor for Jarvis for a couple of years, the early BA XR6T are honestly rubbish, 4 speed auto is a wate of time dodgy box, dont bother. They started getting it right with the BF MK11 onwards, if you want auto the ZF 6 speed is awesome and as SLED said the FG is great. Really nice driving car and pretty quick out of the box.

The BA has all the usual rubbish problems as any other BA such as;

Brake rotors

Dodgy 4 speed auto

Window regs

Diff bushes

PCM failures

BEM failures

ICC failures

And I'm sure there is many more but i tried to erase it all from my memory when I left

I would start looking at BFMK11 as a minimum

I've heard something to do with the diff bush giving out and gearbox can if iffy.

My dad had a BA and BF and both of them the interiors fell to bits, silver trimmings shrivled in the heat and the electrics gave out on the BA and the gear stick snapped off the BF.

They where both under 10,000km when it happend.

Nice cars otherwise

Just spoke to dad and he also said he had PCM and bcm failures and the front brake lines needed replacing due to some dodgyness.

There was a rear brake hose recall because they were too short from factory, had many BA's towed in with no brake pedal :whistling:

The Territory had problems with the front hoses, and the focus had problems with the rear guard linings rubbing throught the hoses too lol
