Hey guys,

I've got a Chipped Wii (Solderless mod so can be removed without issues) and a chipped original Xbox with a 40GB HDD in it.

Ideally I'd like to swap them both for a PS3 console, likely with cash your way. Specifically after GT5 also.

Details as follows:

Wii

2 Controllers with Nunchucks and wrist straps

Rechargable batteries with charging station

Standard RCA and the better quality component leads (Does make a bit of a difference to visual clarity)

Approx 20 games, maybe a touch less (I also have ISO's for some of these so you can re-burn them if needed or you can just do a direct copy of the disk now that they have been ISO'd)

Games include The new Super Mario Bro's, Mario Galaxy, Super Paper Mario, Mario Kart, The Force Unleashed 1 and 2, and Zelda to name just a few - full title list available for interested parties.

Xbox

2 Controllers (One star wars themed that glows and one need for speed themed).

5 Burnt Games - Including Forza and Need for Speed Underground.

Xbox IR remote controller for DVD playback.

No issues with either console, Wii still works online and has a very recent firmware on it, Xbox makes a great media system also.

PM or email me ([email protected]) for more details - I can get a full games list tonight.

I'm in Albury/Wodonga for people interested in pickup, postage can be arranged.

Cheers

To answer a few common questions I'm receiving via PM.

It seems a new Wii retails for $150 so I'll say $170 for this Wii which includes the $80 mod chip, the $30 charging station, the $20 component leads, etc etc. $20 more for all that gear doesn't seem to bad to me.

I'll chuck $50 on the xbox for everything it owes me over $150.

Or $200 for both, OR I'll put cash in and swap for a PS3 with GT5.

As with almost everything in life, make an offer if you're genuinely interested, low ballers should definitely hit eBay though :)

Regarding games, this mod chip is attached to the DVD drive and allows burnt games to be played (I just download the iso online and burn to disc)

The ability to play from an external hard drive is something provided by a newer mod device called the WODE and that allows you to play from an external disk, think it's about $150 from memory.

Cheers

    • Interesting....can't say I've ever checked it, have always just changed it in the off season as practice
    • Just checking, when we are talking about high temp fluid, are we all referring to DOT 5.1? I haven't had any issues with changing it every 2-3 years.
    • Yeah that is still true AFAIK.....good brake fluid should be changed annually because it absorbs water faster which is more often than most mechanics would do it. There are cheap tools that check water% in brake fluid if you all scientific about it. I for sure would (do) run good brake fluid in anything that even casually saw the track like Murray said; avoiding the risk of "exciting" fade is worth it
    • Well, back in the day..... "race" fluids, which were essentially only really "high temp" fluids, used to absorb water more readily. So they really needed to be changed more often anyway. The coincidence of that being directly necessary along with it being what racers would do as a matter of course was just fine.
    • Does the high temp fluid degrade any different over time compared to normal one? That's one thing I've always been wondering. Because a track car is going to get the fluid flushed probably way more often than every two years and will see less kilometers driven. I would think the requirements are different. I'm running Motul RBF 600 in mine. Was recommended by my mechanic before a trackday and I've stuck with it since. Hasn't seen the track since but I've kept buying and using it for servicing anyway.
