I bought my stag on my P's too

Well according to Vicroads site all M35's are banned.

Using 1550 as the weight which is the only figure I could find and 200KW it has a power to weight of 129kw/Tonne which is out of what they're supposed to allow anyhow.

But it puts it at the same Power to weight as an R33 4 door 1390/180.

Surely this means it's worth a shot?

Edit: But Vicroads site uses redbook which would mean the AR-X listed as 206KW has a p/w of 133/t.

if you PLAN to mod it, even the basics, BUY one with the mods already done

given its a buyers market you should get a few basic mods for a "stock" price

no one buys a stock skyline these days, its pointless

imho you should at least get a "stock" R33 with

wheels, ehxaust, intercooler, good tyres and maybe a piggyback of some sort

i would call that stock

STOCK ECR33 would be worth jack all

as in stock exhaust, std side mount, stock wheels

find one with the basic mods first, you'll almost certainly do them anyway -

- nice set of rims

- turbo back exhaust

- FMIC (i would go a return flow FMIC as no holes will have to be cut, standard airbox can be kept etc etc a lot more stealth)

- ECU of some sort

- some suspension mods (swaysbars are great pieces of kit, but coilovers are cheap-as these days with a bunch of brands to choose from, so shouldn't be too hard to find one with coilovers done)

but definitely check the for sale section on SAU, as quite often you can get a good history of the car which you can follow-up with a state roads, etc and also more likely to have someone own the car that actual cares for it, ie more of an ethusiast
