Yes and know...for starters, if there are any sharp or pointy ends - then yes it's a defect for safety. Wings are a common defectable item too if the wing blades are sharp or pointy.

Besides that, if the bodykit makes the car lower to the ground or be of any danger to other vehicles on the road. Besides that, I not a usual defectable item.

What bodykit items do you exactly have? Provide more details.

No it's not sharp, doesn't make the car lower and the wing is small and blunt. Obviously safety hazards would be a defect for obvious reason. A friend of mine has a Boxster 986 and wants to get this bodykit from Poland which makes it look like a 987, now I told him that it might be a defect.
