Wheel Lock

ey guys,

i wanted to change my brake pads today. i couldnt take the front two wheels of as i dont have the special key for the front two rims.

the car doesnt have it. anyone know where i can get one from?

tyre a tyre shop. they will probably need to see it to match it up to the one it needs. is it a locknut on just 1 wheel stud, or is it the allenkey type nut on all of them? if it is just the allenkey type, try autobarn or repco

i tried bob jane and kmart tyre. they said they couldnt help. yeh its the one with a locknut on just 1 wheel stud.

Look in the ashtray.

After trying countless tyre shops for exactly the same problem, that's where I found mine , nicely wrapped in bubble wrap to stop rattles.

yea i cant find it. do all skylines (r34 25gt) have the same lock or are they all different?

they never came with them from factory, they were fitted by a previous owner.

Was about to say, who'd you get the car off? Tyre them, they're your best bet.......

1. Buy a cheap socket set (deep set) + Breaker bar + replacement wheel nut/wheel lock

2. Find a socket that is roughly the same diameter or a tiny bit smaller,

3. Smash socket over lock nut with hammer and undo with breaker bar.

Obviously you will be unable to reuse the wheel lock but its pretty well useless to you without the key. Did this on all 4x of my wheels after losing the key (using same socket for all).
