I usually just use caltex 98 Octane on the 34 ..

My little excel has ...

62kw @ 5500 rpm (84.3hp!)

120nm @ 3500 rpm

950kg

45L tank

7.2/100km in city

5.6/100km on highways

thats almost half of what my skyline uses i think ..

haha what do you know my dad had a Fiat as his first car too I think! Then it was a gemini

hahaha I've heard good things about charades!

My excel actually felt rather punchy when I drove it .. Didn't feel underpowered at all

Felt better than my sisters 06 Hyundai Accent for sure!

i wanna do a major service too like all filters, oils, bla bla bla .. just slowly work through the whole haynes manual haha

Yeah Manual 31's are just hard to find too ..

I'll save up for a nice KE70 rolla/Ford Escort/Datsun Sunny or something like that for the next car though!

or N13 SSS Pulsar or something bit "cooler" than an excel ..

Its a beast man! thumbsup.gif Cant help you with the name though lol. My skyline was named by my 3 year old daughter, and ive gotten fond of the name since- she called it Charlie, but charlie is a girl of course haha.

From the photos it actually looks really neat, owned by some old schoolers by any chance?

It was owned by some very elderly people with 5 cars and never really driven, and then owned by a young girl ... who embellished it with the chromey wheels and a flower on the keyring :D

I was thinking Aza the excel .. but It's such a feminin car it deserves a girlie name!

Looks definitely like some oldies had owned it- the young bird must have looked after it decently too! Gotta love a flower on ya keys to make you feel extra tough.. lol

I just meant Charlie had to be a girl coz my little girl made sure of it haha.. definitely wasnt charlie the boy!

I liked it straight up coz i always though charli delaney from hi 5 was a little hottie thumbsup.gif

LOL I used to when I was much younger (early adolescence) ... the whole image of that show put me off her now though

yeah the show made a mess of her! I took a recent liking when i saw her in all the red carpet whore dresses! dayyum

Then apparently she seduced some poor womans husband and was sending him provocative mms pics etc! Gave me a whole new liking (swelling in my pants) for the girl!

I never heard all this about charli ... very strange how she does that sorta stuff but acts for kids all day long

      I don’t really have any ideas how to set the timing on the CAS 😂, sounds like the top, sounds like it maybe misfiring as well as ticking,  got the box sorted 😌, must of been a air bubble on the clutch side

      Use a 2' length of hose (that's 2 foot, not 2 inches) as a stethoscope to localise the source of the ticking. From cam covers? From exhaust or turbo manifold gasket? From injectors? From lower down in the engine? Etc. Use a timing light to set the timing. Put Redline Lightweight Shockproof in the box. It's not the very best thing for the box, but it will take a box that refuses to engage a gear with other oil, and make it engage a gear. I had to put it in when I installed the R33 box I have in my car. It would not select ANY gear when running. Smurf jizz made it work. That was >10 years ago and I still use it. I'm stuck with it now. Failing that - rebuild the box.

      Well done Duncan. The fuel tank bulkhead lid is also in great condition (some of mine were stuffed). These are now out of production and good ones like that are becoming hard to come by.
